initiative! When I felt skinny, worthless, and ugly, I worked out. And now my body looks amazing. I had acne, what did I do? I yelled at mom to take me to a dermatologist! I had bad hygeine? What did I do? Went online and looked for toothpaste that helps bad breath (therabreath products), I took showers everyday. I was annoying, what did I do? I STFU, and didn't bother people (it was hard but I did it). Didn't have a job, went out, looked, looked... got one.

My friend always puts himself down on how he looks. He complained about how is his nose looked bad, his teeth were crooked. I was thinking to myself "If it REALLY bothers you, get a job, have surgery and get braces". It shouldn't cost no more than $4,000 (Can make that in 4 months working full time, and results last forever).

Just take the steps to making yourself look better, tackle one issue at a time. You have a weird personality, fix it... Think before you act. Your body or face looks bad, fix it, with our technology anything on our bodies can be altered to look attractive.

And looks really isn't everything, really... If you have a kickass personality, everyone will respect you, and you'll get attention from the opposite sex. Start from your personality, and make your way up. Live and learn. See, with girls, I was an embarassment, but I slowly learned from mistake, from girl to girl I went, and I'm still looking, point is, I've learned so much.

I was in the same boat. I was diagnosed with a learning disability as a kid, but I studied my ass off, finished 7th in my high school class, and got a full academic scholarship to college.
Speaking of high school, I didn't have *A* date during high school (hard to imagine, I know), but at college, I've gotten quite a bit more than just dates with girls.
The learning disability I have affects my social confidence, and there are times that I feel the same feeling you describe ("I'm not good enough to talk to them"), but I just tell myself that I'm going over there and talking to them, and things work out for the good many times.
Bottom line, do something, anything about it. You'll be surprised with the results you get.
