Since when I have I said I was punk?
The punk I'm talking about was my friend long before he listened to any punk bands. By that, I mean the Pistols, Clash, Rancid, NOFX, and all the legendary punk bands, not pop-punk bands which he also listens to.

If you're not punk, and have never experienced any of this, what the hell are you doing posting in this topic? You've been looking at your "friends" and now you instantly know everything about their life style? Get the fuck out of here.

Why are you trying to tell him what to do? It doesn't make any sense. If no for him, this thread would have been a total waste of time. He kept it kind of alive.

I see where your coming from man, but I'd rather a thread I create flop rather than be mis-understood. Anyhow, if this was a discussion going through points constructively and raising new angles, I'd listen, but when it comes to name calling and cheap shots (See the avril thread in entertainment: music for some good cheap shots) it serves no purpose than to annoy, and that I have no time for.

And I actually do know what I am talking about. It just happens the first punk bands I heard where Blink 182, Sum 41 and Alkaline Trio, so I'm mostly into POP-PUNK at the moment.
And you couldn't have done that in PM now could you?
Or does the concept of PMing people greatly confuse you so you had to post it so everyone could see it, when quit frankley the person you were didn't even care?

Ok, there are either HUGE cultural differences between us, or you are a complete idiot. I think it is a little of both.
Reasons Good Charlotte aren't punk:
1. They own their own clothing line "MADE", which they ridiculously pimp off, showing that they are in it for making money and not the music, am I correct?
2. On atleast one track(The Anthem), they use studio effects. In the example of "The Anthem", they use studio muting on the opening chords.
The studio effects ALONE prove my point.

I'd say you have no fucking clue what REAL punks are. It's impossible to be a real punk fan and like GC at the same time. That's like rooting for both the Yankees and the Red Sox. It just doesn't happen.

Oh, so if the Yankees needed to win a game for the Sox to get to the play offs or whatever baseball has, then the Sox fans would be booing the Yankees, despite them needing to win for their team to go through?
And hows it impossible to be a real punk & like GC? I know moshers that like some pop-punk. I know ska-punks (Or whatever you call them) that like Iron Maiden. I know moshers that like ska. I know goths who like Linkin Park.
So it does happen. Hankey, from what you said you seem to think people can't be punk if they listen to GC. News flash, people are.
