That damn storm was a wuss!

It was supposed to be all big and powerful. It was headed straight for Polk County, and was supposed to devestate it. It didn't do shit! The power never went out, the winds never got hard, and it only rained for an hour or two.

In the end, I should've just slept through it...

its coming to nyc like tomorrow and sunday. i hope it rains alot, i dont want any power outage though.

I really doubt Nitemare will get anything more than some rain. It's supposed to be down-graded to category 1 by 2 am, which is in 20 minutes. Besides, it's gonna go out into the Atlantic after going through St. Augustine, which is south of Jacksonville.

Obviously, you didn't get the full force of it. Unless you wanted your house destroyed, be happy. There were 9 tornadoes reported, one was around Orlando I think. A couple of retirement homes destroyed and some guy got killed driving in the storm. Tomorrow you'll see the full devastation. Oh and there two more tropical storm developing in the Atlantic.

You would've thought I did get the worst of it, seeing as it passed within a few miles of where I was at. Which would mean I should've got the eye wall.

Anyway, yeah, there was a tornado here in Jacksonville sometime yesterday. Not where I lived, though.

The storm was supposed to hit the Northern parts of Florida (including Jax) but it went a little off course and weakened. When it 'hit' here in the early morning, it was slight rain, if even that. Yesterday (Firday) during school, at like 12P.M., it was pouring down rain and lightning real bad. But Charley didn't do anything.

I was playing ESPN NFL 2K5 and the rain wasn't even bothersome (er...strong).

So yeah, it missed us. Shame those people died, though. I didn't catch the news, really, but I think I heard it was a 'city' with a lot of retired people and many refeused to leave or something?

Good to se everyone made it out of the storm ok, I would assume that when the reminance of Charlie arrives here in the NYC/Northern NJ area in a few hours it will be nothing more then a Tropical Depression. A weak tropical storm at worst. Anyhoo Good to see everyone back in one piece.
