Re: What about the other Presidents?

Wow, nothing like starting a majo confrontation between the staff members.
Thanks to all who have supported the cmmon sence side of this.
Just step back and ask yourself if you would want to be President in times like this.
Yes, I support the President.
Yes, I think we have been in Iraq for too long.
No, I would not have wanted to make that decision.

Actually, I think the German scientists fleeing the country to the US saying that the Germans were building atomic weaponry is enough proof. Fission was discovered in Europe by Niels Bohr in 1939, and he shortly fleed from (where he came from) after the Nazis occupied. That discovery pretty much lead all of the top physicists to realize that that discovery could be used to build weapons. (The announcement of this discovery was public, so assuming someone would use this discovery to build a weapon would only be logical)

Yeah, that most likely happened. I believe they attacked American ships carrying supplies to aide England. But, since the ships weren't in American waters, that was a risk they were taking...Like in Top Gun, when Maverick's fighting against the Migs when he accidentally wanders into their territory.

I do know that the U-Boats attacked American ships AFTER the war started, they sank a cruise ship as well I believe.

Re: What about the other Presidents?

But still I say that the general population of America in 1941 had no knoledge of geman WoMD, let alone a clue of the scale of destruction that could be inflicted.
I'd like to hear thoughts from some of you on conflicts after WWII, that war is warn out.
