Austin is way more popular than the rock. And the rock came out at a time when the business was booming and had guys like Austin and others to make wrestling popular.

Wrestling isn't as popular as it used to be, and now its really just the WWE and the only top guy the WWE really pushed in the past 10 years has been Cena. Its been Cena and everyone else.

Even when CM Punk was champion, he was always booked under Cena. He would have been way more popular than he already was if they would have given him a Rock or Austin like Push.

Without the Rock back in the AE era the WWE still would have boomed with Austin, and everyone else. Without Punk, we wouldn't have guys like Daniel Bryan, Cesero, Ambrose, or Rollins on the roster

And even if he did they would just be jobbers. Punk showed Vince that an Indie guy isn't a dirty word and can actually make Vince Money.
The retard strikes again.

I like birthday, but he's way off there. While there might be some truth that Punk helped pave the way for guys like Bryan and Cesaro, there isn't a chance in hell he made a bigger impact than the Rock did in WWE. Rock is a household name and was basically the 1B to Austin's 1A that helped usher in the Attitude Era, one of WWE's greatest eras. And I say this as both a Punk and Rock mark.

lol, Birthday is my buddy.... but he's off on this one. I think it kills Punk marks to admit that the Rock has a legit, easily defined edge over CM Punk.

Guys like Sean Waltman paved the way for smaller guys more than Punk, hell the Radicalz did too.... and Daniel Bryan's success has very little to do with Punk.

Like i said in another post, popularity and impact are two different things. I could have just left out the part where I said Punk had a bigger impact than the Rock and just went with punks impact was how Vince looks at talent.

No one is saying the Rock isn't more popular than Punk. But Punk had a bigger impact than the Rock did on how view Vince talents in the WWE.
Because of Punk Vince started to take a closer look and actually understood Indie guys could make a good impact in the WWE.

Also, I am all for anyone who disagrees with me and feel free to tear my opinion apart. I just think its funny how choke2death needs to call people names he disagrees with.

I also seem to notice that choke2death seems to have a problem with a ton of people on this board, he is always calling people names with posters his disagrees with.

I dont understand why someones opinion, no matter how much people disagree with, would make someone so angry to call those posters names, and even feel the need to complain about all those posters in different threads.

If a message board pissed me off that much, I would just stop posting. I never in my life have seen one poster, complain about so many other people.

If he hates those posters opinions so much, I don't sees why he doesn't use the ignore button.

And yeah choke2death says I am a R word, yet he posts crap like this

Not exactly fair, because ANYONE can make an impact if Vince/WWE puts enough behind them. Punk isnt a revolutionary, thats for sure. Smaller guys have had more success than him in WWE. Better wrestlers have had way more success than him in WWE. Better characters have had more success than him in WWE. Make no mistake, Punk was the solid #2 behind Cena for a while, but Punk didnt have as big an impact as his marks want to believe. And he certainly didnt usher in how Vince looks at indies. Indy wrestlers come in, and WWE will water them down, or strip them of their identity, and make it WWE. CM Punk, the man you love, is a WWE product. He is not the same CM Punk that was in RoH. Cesaro and Bryan are the same thing, WWE products. Look at Ambrose, he is also this forum's current man crush, but he isnt the same guy he was when he was taking an electric knife to the head in Billy's dad's backyard. He is a member of the Shield. And he is 3rd fiddle in the Shield, and the weaker member. Indy guys, are nothing. Period. Thats why theyre in the indies. They all sell out to get to the big time, and do what theyre told. Punk didnt revolutionize anything

This man is the GOAT, he had no Montana, Young, Marino, Elway, Manning, Brady. Still retired 3rd in catches 2nd in yards and 3rd in TDs.
If you dont believe that, then take a few minutes to read this list:http://raidersbeat.com/2014/01/23/81...-hall-of-fame/

**At time of his retirement**
-1094 receptions 3rd all time
-14,934 yards 2nd all time
-100 TDs 3rd all time
-oldest player to ever return a punt for a TD
-oldest player to ever record 12+ receptions in a single game
-9 time pro bowler
-NFL record 10 consecutive seasons with at least 75 receptions
-NFL record for consecutive starts by a wide receiver: 176
-Was not a starter until his 5th year in the league

I don't know about Waltman, but if it was anyone, then it would be more like Jericho and HBK. Both of them were multiple time world champions and both were under 6ft tall.
