FIVE MINUTES WITH...

BREAKTHEWALLS

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to TDL's newest feature Five Minutes With. In here we delve into the brilliant/average/very disturbed minds of our competitors.

Now everyone will get a shot at some point so please don't send any of us a PM asking if you can be interviewed.

This time around there are three interviews, all of whom competed at Genesis. First up is BreakTheWalls. Welcome mate.

BTW: Thanks for having me; it's an honor to be the first member featured.

Aussie: No problem at all.

Firstly you came very close to winning at Genesis but it appears Delfin had the better debate. Any hard feelings towards the loss?

BTW: None whatsoever. If that's the way the judges saw it, then that's how they saw it. I'm simply not big on numbers. I'm more of an analyst, and I went with my true feelings on the topic. I didn't plan to do any research, nor do I regret my decision not to. You win some, you lose some; such is life. I'm just looking forward to my next opportunity to prove myself.

Aussie: Nice to see you have a positive attitude about it.

Well for the moment you'll be able to sit on the sidelines to watch the finals for the championship. As you know the first final up is a rematch between TLK and JM Nash. Any thoughts or predictions for this match?

BTW: I didn't read their first match, nor have I ever seen any of their previous work seeing as I'm new to this, so I'm not sure what to expect. I know they're both intelligent guys, though. So, what I do know is we're in for a good debate. There's a lot they can do with their current topic; "Wrestling skills are not required to be a good wrestler." That's a topic that could stem off into so many different things, so there's a lot to be said. I'll be reading that one, for sure.

Aussie: I'm sure you won't be the only one keeping a close eye on them. You are right though, after their first debate, the next one should be just as good.

Moving to the other finals match, what are your thoughts on Mac having to temporarily pull out of his match with Super Delfin?

BTW: It's very unfortunate. That match would have been a clash of titans, as far as I'm concerned. Delfin is a force to be reckoned with in TDL, and I think Mac would have delivered a tremendous debate knowing what he was up against. There's always next time, and I'll be looking forward to that debate. Those are two guys I'd love to go against one on one.

Aussie: Yes it is a shame that the match isn't happening but hopefully Mac will be back in time for the next show.

Looking back at the Wrestling Division, I have no doubt in my mind you plan on being better than ever for your next debate but is there anyone that poses a serious threat to you?

BTW: There are definitely some serious threats in the Wrestling Division. Like I said before, Delfin is a force to be reckoned with. Mac, Nash, and TLK are all obviously big names. Also, my moderating partner Taroostyles; he's a very intelligent guy who, like me, likes to analyze every detail. The Wrestling Division has some stiff competition, for sure.

Aussie: Some big names you have there.

Just have a few more questions to finish up if that's alright?

BTW: No problemo. Shoot.

Aussie: Great.

First, which Aftermath debate are you most looking forward to?

BTW: I'd probably have to say JM Nash vs. The Lady Killer, because I know they're both great posters, and I'm interested in seeing the stances on the topic.

Aussie: Nice choice.

Other than yourself, who do you think is TDL's biggest standout and who will be the one to watch?

BTW: It's going to seem like I'm kissing ass, because I keep talking about TDL staff members, but MrJesus's debate at Genesis blew me away. I think he's going to have a lot of success. I also think that Taroostyles, for reasons I already mentioned, will have a good career in TDL.

Aussie: Nah you're not kissing ass, we all know how awesome Monty is. (<3 )

If you had your choice of opponent, from any division, who would it be?

BTW: I'd have to say Taroostyles. "The Clash of the TNA Mods" Book it! lol

Aussie: Keep your eyes out.

What's the best thing about TDL?

BTW: Awesome.

My main reason for being a member here is my love for in depth discussion. TDL brings together some of the best posters this forum has to offer for that very purpose. Some of those people may have gotten lost in, or become more interested in, the social aspect of the forum. TDL allows them to showcase just how good they are, and competition is always fun.

Aussie: Not to mention the bragging rights.

What's the one thing you bring to TDL that no one else does?

BTW: I like to think I'm one of the most, if not the most, optimistic posters TDL has. I try to see the good in everything.

Aussie: Well BTW, that's all the questions I have. Was there anything you would like to add?[

BTW: Hmmm...last words last words. I'm pretty much just looking forward to my next opportunity to prove that I'm going to play a big part in TDL. I'm here to stay, and I'm here to have a good time - winning is going to be a reoccurring bonus.

Aussie: Thanks for being part of the first edition of Five Minutes With.

BTW: No problem at all. It was a pleasure.

CM DEALER

Next up is Non-Wrestling competitor CM Dealer. Welcome to Five Minutes With.

CM: Thank you for coming up with this delightful idea Aussie. I'm sure my legions of fans have been eagerly awaiting this interview.

Aussie: My pleasure. We have to please the fans somehow.

Now first thing's first, bad luck on your loss at Genesis but I think everyone agrees it was a fantastic debate. Any thoughts on your performance?

CM: I know I was a relative unknown coming in, but I knew I had a great opportunity when I saw my opponent was the legendary, revered Mr. Jesus. Of course I wanted to win, but what I was really trying to do was to stand out and make a name for myself. I think my debate did that, and I think people are going to have to take notice of me.

Aussie: Well you definitely made people take notice. Do you have anything you want to say to Monty at all?

CM: Monty was a great opponent, and he is certainly a skilled debater. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors debates.

Aussie:

I have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised. You lost out to Monty yet you're still very upbeat about it all. Is this all part of some grand plan?

CM: Like I said, I wanted to win, but I earned a lot of respect despite losing, so I still gained something from Genesis. I might have a grand plan, but you'll have to wait and find out if I do.

Aussie: Damn...I hate surprises.

Well now you have a small break from debating, will you be keeping a close eye on the competition?

CM: Yeah I will be paying to Aftermath to scout out the competition. I hope to get on TDL III; even though breaks can be nice, but I want to debate, not read.

Aussie: That's a fair call to make. Not everyone enjoys sitting on the sidelines.

Just a few more questions to finish. First up, which debate are you most looking forward to at Aftermath?

CM: Invincible and ~AussieFan~ have really been going at it, so I am pretty interested in that debate.

Aussie: Really? I didn't know that.

Other than yourself, who is TDL's biggest standout?

CM: I don't think it matters. I'm here for myself, not to hype up the jobbers who are below me.

Aussie: Ok fair enough then.

If you had your choice of opponent, from any division, who would it be?

CM: Super Delfin had a great debate, I think he would be a cool opponent. Of course, there are others who would be a good challenge, like you and Mac and bruteshot.

Aussie: I appreciate the mention.

What's the best part about TDL?

CM: I think the best part is being able to have your writing critiqued and being able to learn about the opposing viewpoint.

Aussie: Wow that's one of the most insightful responses I've ever heard to that question.

What's the one thing you bring to TDL that no one else does?

CM: I would have to say my views on the issues, and why I feel the way I do.

Aussie: Well that's all from me, do you have anything you would like to add before we finish?

CM: I wish everyone the best of luck in their debates, but if you have to face me, be prepared for a challenge.

Aussie: It's been a pleasure and good luck in TDL.

CM: Thanks for having me, and may TDL live long and prosper.

BRUTESHOT74

Last but certainly not least is bruteshot74. Welcome mate.

brute: Yah yah. Be happy that I gave you time to even talk to me in the first place. Lets get this started so I can go about doing things that actually matter.

Aussie: Gee....no wonder you're such a hit with the ladies.

First thing's first, tough luck on your loss at Genesis. Seems as though the better man won though.

brute: Pffft, who needs a woman anyways. I cannot trust anyone but myself so why have one around.

The loss at Genesis was a fluke. I out debated both Josh and MetalX and then BDFW came in and finished it off. I even challenged him to a rematch to see who the true debater was but the guy retired because he knew he would loose if we went at it again.

He calls him self the best, but when times get tough he walks away from it all. I would be pretty embarrassed to be associated with anybody like that.

BDFW may be a better man, but I am the better debater.

Aussie: I can see why you're always in a good mood then.

The whole point in the four way was you were meant to out-debate three guys, not two. Besides maybe he can come out of retirement just for you at some point.

You may believe you're the better debater but I'm sure there are quite a few debaters in the division that will argue the opposite. What do you have to say to them?

brute: I know what the point of a four way is, do not need the school yard lecture. He won and it was a fluke. I was not prepared for his debate at the time being, that is all there is to it.

He would be better off to stay on the sidelines. Can watch me dominate the division and get all the endorsement deals while he concentrates on his column writing career.

Those other debaters in the division can say what they want. I had the best debate at TDL I, there is no arguing that. I am up for a debate with anyone, if you think you are better then me, then get the balls and challenge me and we shall settle it at the debating table.

Aussie: A little touchy aren't we? That all sounds like fighting words to me. But I think we better move the subject in a different direction...

Let's have a look at the upcoming MMA debate between WWE_TNA, Duke Coolieo and Overrated. Any thoughts as to who we should be keeping an eye on?

brute: None of these were good enough to make the first show and now you think we should keep an eye on one of them?? Give me a break, the only one who anyone should be keeping an eye on in the MMA division is myself because I am the next champion and there is nobody that can do anything about it.

Aussie: Ok ok....bloody hell! It's like talking to a bear with a sore head.

NCIH and SteveMania had a stellar debate and ended in a draw, yet you weren't able to win your debate. How is it you feel you are the only worth contender for the MMA Championship?

brute: It is pretty much a given that the judges had it in for me. BDFW is out now and from what others have told, I had the best debate on the card next to him. I am the most knowledge in the division and somebody who is going to be able to sell PPV's and merchandise know matter what the occasion.

Do the fans of TDL want a guy who states a bunch of useless facts theat mean nothing or a guy that does not even know what an opinion is? If so then let these guys face off for the MMA title and see how far the division goes. If not, give me a second chance to prove that I am the face of the MMA division and will take it to places it has never been before.

Aussie: The judges did not have it in for you. But believe whatever will help you sleep at night. I guess time will tell to see if you are talented enough to become the inaugural MMA champion.

Just a few more questions to finish up. First, what match at Aftermath are you most looking forward to?

brute: Not really interested in any thing that does not involve me but I guess if an answer has to come out of this I would say the triple threat MMA debate. Might as well see who is going to be trying to work there way up to my title. Not like any of them with provide any sort of threat though.

Aussie: Sorry to put you out with your answer

Other than yourself, who do you think is TDL's biggest standout and who is the one to watch?

brute: The Lady Killer for being a standout. He has an ego and I like that.

For someone to watch would be Maxx Hero. The guy claims to have all these credentials to his name so will be interesting to see if he can back it all up.

Aussie: Interesting choices there.

If you had the chance to choose an opponent, from any division, who would it be?

brute: All the no showers from the first card. The less work I have to do, the better.

Aussie: Um...ok....

What's the best thing about TDL?

brute: Duh, myself, I am the only reason that TDL is worth tuning into on a regular occasion. Also the incorporation of an MMA division into a debate league is something new and is the place where I excel.

Aussie: I should have known that was going to be your answer.

I almost regret asking you this, but what is the one thing you bring to TDL that no one else does?

brute: Haah~! Obviously charisma and a personality. All these other debaters seem to be pretty dull and like I said earlier, they tend to back down when the times get tough.

I keep things fresh and bring things to the table that nobody else does.

Aussie: I'm sure other debaters will dispute your claims of them being dull but I'll let you take it up with them.

That's about all from me. Was there anything else you would like to add before we finish?

brute: Ummm, hopefully I never have to do one of these things again. I would recommend that other debaters don't, it really is a waste of time.

That is all from me though, look out TDL because you are looking at the next MMA Champion.

Please tell me I'm reading yet another of your pathetic posts wrong. My debate got me over; your debate made you look egotistical but didn't intimidate anyone.

Pathetic posts lol. Find me a good post that you have made and then I will think about taking something you say into consideration.

How did your debate get you over exactly? Monty owned you, plain and simple. I got owned to but at least I am trying to make my character interesting instead of something generic like yourself. If you think I am actually trying to intimidate people with what I said then you're dumber then I thought. All I did was have a bit of fun with something that few maybe will enjoy reading, rather then "blah blah my opponent was great, thank you, thank you to my fans, I shall be back, blah blah."

Re: Five Minutes With...

Said debate, meant interview whatever. I doubt you more than skimmed my debate, but whatever. I'm not here to critique your debate or posts, because you honestly aren't worth that much of my time. I realize you weren't trying to intimidate people IRL because we aren't all giant chickens, but I assume your character is supposed to be a pretty bad-ass heel. And besides, TDL needs faces and heels, so don't say my interview sucked just because I was being a face. And really, I'm a face, what do you expect my promo to say?
