Default Best Indy Wrestler?

I haven't really watched too much of the independent circuit and I'm only just getting into watching some smaller promotions. We all know that the greatest wrestlers right now (Punk, Bryan, Cesaro, Aries, Styles, Samoa Joe) all started similarly, working small shows for small organizations. My question to all of you is, looking at all the indy talent right now, who is the greatest wrestler out there? I'm talking about guys who haven't been picked up by the WWE or TNA. I know ROH has some good talent - especially guys like Kevin Steen who is really good in the ring. However, ROH seems to be where the big dogs usually get their future stars from. Who do you guys think is underrated at the moment? Who is the best?

Personally, ROH is over-appreciated when it comes to being known as the "feeder" promotion in my opinion, but that's another story. On topic: It's really up to the individual you ask. I'd have to say guys like Kevin Steen, Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, Young Bucks etc are in the "best" class, because they go just about everywhere. In terms of under-rated, two names that jump to mind immediately are Ethan Page and Josh Alexander. They don't really wrestle in any of the "big" indy promotions, but they have amazing potential and I can see Ethan Page especially being a huge star in the near future.

How so?

Also, AIW put up the Ethan Page vs Colin Delaney match on YouTube and I must say, Ethan Page looks impressive. His 'All Ego' gimmick seems to come naturally to him

Ricochet is No. 1 at the moment, absolutely.

The Bucks are the greatest tag team out there, not just in indy wrestling, but in general.

Just my opinion, but I think the only "ROH" guys who made it to WWE are Punk, Bryan, and Black. Guys like Ohno, Cesaro, Zayn, etc. are labelled as "ROH guys" but I think that their work in other places would have eventually caught the eye of someone higher up. ROH is definitely one of the promotions that help get people noticed, but I wouldn't really say they're looked to more than say CZW, DGUSA, or PWG.

Yeah, that's what I love about Ethan Page. There are a lot of guys these days doing the douchey type gimmick that he's doing, but he seems to do it so naturally. It doesn't even feel like a gimmick. Also, his stuff with Seleziya Sparx is hilarious.

I don't watch an awful lot of indy wrestling, so I don't have as much to say about a lot of guys but I have loved an awful lot that Steen has done, so I'm gonna go with him. As stated though, it really does matter on who you ask.
