Default What Is This AAA Deal About?

Konnan announced AAA will start broadcasting in the U.S. So will they be having shows in the U.S. too? Plus where does that leave Lucha Libre USA? Also what do you think of that new promotion called World Wrestling League? Do you think they will have some successful U.S. shows here too and what is their deal?

Isn't LLUSA dead? AAA in America would be cool but it wouldn't work. The wrestlers aren't paid amazing and I'm sure some of them would demand more pay for the expansion. World Wrestling League is cool but I can't see it expanding just yet, I'm really hoping they release DVD's and promote their events though, the last card looked pretty awesome.

They got a deal with a El Rey network to air their show in the US, and I think they are going to tour the US.

No Lucha Libre USA is still alive. https://www.facebook.com/MaskedWarriors?fref=ts Plus WWL already have U.S. shows on their line up.

AAA used to be aired in the U.S. from 2004 - 2011 before Galavision took them off for a one-hour chopped CMLL show that is shown Saturday nights. They had a video game deal in the U.S. at one point. They have tons of great talent over there like El Mesias, Zorro, etc. I see the deal working if they capitalize on their talent, AAA has a variety of stars and matches unlike CMLL where it is just solid Lucha Libre (not a shot at them).

I'm one of the few posters around here consistently touting AAA. A really fun, action packed, character oriented show. I hope everything works out and we get easier access here in North America for a long time to come.

I don't think the deal 100% official yet but unlike in previous years this is really legit because there's no Steve Ship blocking AAA.

The shows will still be taped in Mexico.

As for touring US, they never had problems drawing. The last tour in the US four years ago average thousands. They actually taped and air two episodes from the Vegas date.

Yeah, I remember me and a chick laid up in the hotel and as I'm going through the channels, bingo, I see Teddy Hart, Jack Evans and a few more guys in AAA in the 6 sided ring. This was back in 2009.

Can't remember the name of the channel, though. If I had the channel, it lasted or does get a new TV deal, I would surely tune in.

Off topic but here in DC, we get Super Estrellas de la Lucha Libre, which is WWC's show on WAPA-TV. Would love to see it but I have to subscribe to the channel and don't see the point in paying extra money, solely for 1 hour of wrestling a week.

Listened to MLW and Connan said that they will be touring all of the US not just the West coast. So if anybody lives in the east your lucky.
