Are We In For A Wrestling Boom?

Since we have TNA doing well and ROH on the right track can you see some type of boom? Also we have the NWA feds and TCW doing well. Plus in Japan and Mexico things are going good. So do you think there is something on the horizon? Why or why not.

How is TNA doing well? Isn't business the same as it ever was? How is ROH on the right track? Elaborate, I dare you!

TNA is on the road and has been producing good storylines. Plus the same for ROH. Also TCW produces a good quality show everyweek. I feel something good is going to happen.

Re: Are We In For A Wrestling Boom?

Oh, okay, my bad - I assumed you meant a financial boom, which almost definitely isn't on the horizon. But still, having just re-watched McGuinness vs. Danielson vs. Castagnoli vs. Black from 2008, it's safe to say that US independent wrestling is in a far weaker state now than it was five years ago. Also, having trudged through the entire Champion Carnival, which mostly played out before tiny, quiet crowds, your sweeping statement about Japan doesn't really hold water either.

To me, WWE & TNA have both reached a point where they just tick over & nothing significant changes from one year to the next, ROH is a shell of its former self, and New Japan & PWG are the closest any companies are coming to perfecting their art right now (and that's been the case for several years with both).

Re: Are We In For A Wrestling Boom?

Worst thread in a long time. There's is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to suggest a boom. ROH ARE NOT on the right track. The NWA feds are still largely irrelevant. Things in Japan bar NJPW are not good. Do you even know what a boom is? The only thing that will be a catalyst for a boom is what WWE/a WWE employee does right or wrong. You might wanna google catalyst so you know what that means too.

ROH is still good though and they are in a process of bringing up the new talent. Plus like I said TCW and others are doing well. So I can see a boom period hopefully.

Re: Are We In For A Wrestling Boom?

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter how well TCW, the NWA promotions and even ROH are doing. They can be breaking attendance records, DVD sales records and even iPPV records, they don't mean shit and will in no way cause a Wrestling boom.

I said TNA also and yes all of them are breaking records and NWA SMW broke records. TNA can lead the Wrestling boom. Now I never said it would be huge, but it can get a lot more fans in.

Re: Are We In For A Wrestling Boom?

Not a boom. I feel it's calm before the storm right now. The actual boom will happen in 5-7 years I believe.

I accept rep.

Re: Are We In For A Wrestling Boom?

A boom period could happen in 5 years or so for Japanese wrestling with how good NJPW are doing and AJPW under new management (time will tell if they eventually go in the right direction). But in the US? Hell no, still same old same old.
