Most likely yes. Depends on the situation. I did a quick search on TCW. Seems they have a syndicated TV show. Doesn't affect my opinion to be honest. PRIME has a TV show on Sports Time Ohio, and LCW (local promotion in my area) has a nationwide TV deal in Canada with NTV. I don't know anybody on the TCW roster with the exception of like, 4 guys and I've never seen a TCW show, and I don't really have any desire to at the moment. I'm not shitting on TCW or their product, but they won't be the catalysts of the next "Boom period". Assuming this boom period even happens, it's coming from the WWE level. They're the most known and easiest to access. Honestly, the indies are taking a huge hit. There aren't that many stars left, and the stars being created seem to get signed away before they can really help the independent wrestling scene. If the indies were going to start a "boom period", it would have happened somewhere between 2005 and 2009 IMO.

Are some of you so self important that you think every promotion should be reading your criticisms, write them down, and implement everything you think they should be doing? Especially when the criticisms are so valid, such as, "John Saxon needs to work on his promo skills, he's so awkward". To the OP, I really hope there is a boom very soon, because if not, a lot of the condescending posters, on here & elsewhere, won't have pro wrestling to "critique" because it will die. HHH said himself that they are having to look to football players, ect. with BIG PERSONALITIES that wanted to be wrestlers when they were kids. The talent pool is drying up. Every year after WrestleMania, WWE starts "future endeavoring" talent. They haven't done that this year. They can't afford to lose the talent that they have. & the incentive to want to be a pro wrestler is getting worse. Most of the indy talent can't make a full time living at it. It's a part time job that they have to treat like a full time job. These guys can only afford to bust their bodies up for so long. If 1 of these indies doesn't get a serious network deal & bring something to the table that WWE & TNA don't, then the industry is in trouble. So yes, I'm a TCW fan with nothing but positive things to say about my area's promotion. Please insult me & kick me off the forum.
Well said, sir. I'd like to meet you and take you to lunch sometime.

What's with all this TCW love?

Of the other 1,119 some odd indy promotions, that's the 1 to create the next wrestling boom? Excuse me while I hold my breath....

IMO, it won't be some relative unknown to create the wrestling boom. It will be someone or some company in the position, as well as financial capabilities, to cause that spark. We'll all die before wrestling will. I mean, it's a sport with roots that date back 15,0000 years. Nothing Vince, Dixie or whoever else, can do to kill something that was around forever.

As for wrestling, as we currently know it, dying? I HIGHLY doubt that too. It's like crack, if there's a market for it, it will sell. It's the type of thing people pass on to their kids, who pass on to their kids, etc. It's a never ending cycle and I strongly believe that unless this world ends, wrestling, in some form, will always be around. I get the impression the kid who said wrestling will die is referring to the 2 promotions you see on TV every week. And even then, I got a good feeling we'll die before WWE will.

The only way TCW is involved in another wrestling boom is if Ted Turner buys it and renames it Turner Championship Wrestling. That crappy little bush league YouTube show they have with 500 viewers isn't going to make them number 3 anytime soon.

Sir,We are far more than a "crappy YouTube show" as you refer to it! If you would take the time to research your statements you would see we play on broadcast television into a number of markets including Chicago,Los Angeles, and numerous others! Our television ratings continue to grow in every market, and are substantially above both TNA and WWE in the markets we are on in!! We are adding several markets this summer and even more this fall! We are expanding our touring radius as well! I appreciate your right to have an opinion, but get your facts straight!! I don't care if the world see's us as number 3 or 33- our goal is to entertain the viewer and the fan who chooses to purchase a ticket and attend one of our events! We strive to entertain our fans from the moment they enter the arena until the final bell! Respectfully,Thomas C.Parker-Vice President of Talent Relations and Wrestling Operations-TCW
