I will keep this episode, because I am a wrestling fan. What do you expect to happen on these shows? For Lars to find the formula to cure cancer, then Boyd Bradford steals it, & won't give it back until Lily shows him her twat? Some of the people on this board sound so pretentious when talking about pro wrestling. "Complete disappointment", "throwaway episode". Somebody else on this board basically said they would rather have someone criticize a show than be "too loyal". Why would a person criticize something they enjoy. Do you do that in other aspects of your lives? Do you sit down, eat 4 ice cream sandwiches, then complain that they aren't sweet enough, & proceed to eat 2 more ice cream sandwiches? As far as why I don't post in any other threads, I typed Traditional Championship Wrestling into google, & this thread was at the top of the page. I was excited to see other TCW fans talk about the show. Instead, I see a bunch of people who think they are bookers. And no, my wrestling exposure is not limited, I've been a fan since the 80s. Back then, people either loved wrestling or hated it. There was no in between. You didn't talk to your friends & say, "Boy that Terry Taylor/Missing Link match was disappointing. What a throwaway episode of Mid South Wrestling!". if there are 3 wrestling matches on a show, then how can it be a throwaway episode? If you're a wrestling fan, you got to see 3 matches!

I honestly couldn't find a post by JChero that is warning worthy, but I did find this gem of a post that contradicts his latest posts in the TCW thread, anyway:

Anyway, would an IP look-up be too much to ask? I've noticed that their posting styles are eerily similar. They each have a propensity to use the same emotive tones and random punctuation placement (especially noting the excessive use of the exclamation mark). I'd hate to turn this into a witch hunt but it just feels entirely odd.

Random punctuation placement? Haha! Like at the end of a sentence? Barring the rare mis-type, my punctuation and grammar is very precise. Nothing random about it.

I stand by the statement you linked. Everyone is free to their opinion, but I am free to disagree with it, and voice my disagreement. I don't contradict myself.

I honestly have no idea what TCW is, and even if I did I'd still say they're not going to cause a wrestling boom. No independent promotion is going to cause the boom.

If an independent promotion got national distribution, would they still be considered an independent?

All valid points but I Still believe in the boom. NWA smokey mountain recently had a show where they sold over 2000 tickets. Almost 2500.

I know that we're all fans and we wanna see things happening all at once, but that's just not realistic financially.

2500 is max capacity for the hammerstein ballroom, ROH's biggest venue. And ROH hasn't quite hit that mark yet. But you mark my words, they will hit that mark, they're a lot better run from a business perspective then people think, and the fact that SMokey Mountain is getting that kind of attendance as well is a big deal.

Promotions are still no where near as big as the WWE but they're making progress.

A few people are supportive of TCW, & all of a sudden it's a "conspiracy". Do you guys really believe that TCW thinks that this one forum is SO IMPORTANT, that they need to infiltrate it? Why? Does this forum make them any money? Are they going to get a million dollar cable deal, because they got over on this forum? Are some of you so self important that you think every promotion should be reading your criticisms, write them down, and implement everything you think they should be doing? Especially when the criticisms are so valid, such as, "John Saxon needs to work on his promo skills, he's so awkward". To the OP, I really hope there is a boom very soon, because if not, a lot of the condescending posters, on here & elsewhere, won't have pro wrestling to "critique" because it will die. HHH said himself that they are having to look to football players, ect. with BIG PERSONALITIES that wanted to be wrestlers when they were kids. The talent pool is drying up. Every year after WrestleMania, WWE starts "future endeavoring" talent. They haven't done that this year. They can't afford to lose the talent that they have. & the incentive to want to be a pro wrestler is getting worse. Most of the indy talent can't make a full time living at it. It's a part time job that they have to treat like a full time job. These guys can only afford to bust their bodies up for so long. If 1 of these indies doesn't get a serious network deal & bring something to the table that WWE & TNA don't, then the industry is in trouble. So yes, I'm a TCW fan with nothing but positive things to say about my area's promotion. Please insult me & kick me off the forum.
