Re: Ricochet

Well they probably contracted to Gabe and he can let anyone out of one whenever he wants to. If he insisted and threatened legal action he could probably block his guys from leaving for WWE but I don't think he would.

Also WWE could probably just pay him a small amount of money (for them) and he would let them sign.

Back on topic, Ricochet is the man. He's probably been the best thing that's come out of Evolve/DGUSA with Gargano and Taylor not far behind.

How come this guy isn't on TV yet? Mind blowing in ring work.
He is, in Japan.

Re: Ricochet

I really like Taylor because of his goofy character. Also, I'm not gay, but look at those deep blue eyes, dammit! That bersekeresque smile too.

In-ring wise, he's on and off, that's for sure, especially in singles. But he can deliver when story requires it, no question about it. Love his series with Gargano.

Re: Ricochet

Seabs summed it up perfectly IMO. Ricochet is one of those guys who's constantly surprising me, and I think a lot of people. Not just with his moves, but with how he's improving. Personally, if you would have told me 5 years ago that the flippy kid with the long hair was going to be a huge star in Japan, I would have laughed at you. Going to Dragon Gate has helped Ricochet so much. It made him a wrestler. Somebody we'd pay to see. Not somebody who promoters would throw on the undercard in a multi-man spotfest. (Not that those are a bad thing; but I feel Ricochet gets a lot more respect now than he did back in his IWA daws)

Re: Ricochet

Ricochet is the man.....in the ring, on the mic I've always found him awkward, but no question that he is a fucking boss in the ring.

Re: Ricochet

First off the Kentucky Gentleman is amazing. Chucky T is one of the first guys i really got excited for when i started watching old PWG.

Back to Ricochet, this guy has it all and i really hope the "E" starts cruiserweight again cause TNA is going fuck all with its X division. i would love to see Ricochet, Taylor, Gargano and these guys flying all over the pace with the likes of Bourne, Pac, Gabrial, Kidd, and Generico. Ric really first impressed me with his match vs Elgin vs Steen. he is one of the few guys who can work with powerhouses and it not seem completely forced.

Re: Ricochet

I guess Taylor's fine working comedy style matches. I don't dig his comedy at all really but that's not the issue. As a worker in a serious match? Fucking awful. I tried to watch the Gargano I Quit match and I literally just switched it off after a few minutes when Gargano entered an I Quit match dressed as a swamp monster and Taylor started putting helmets on. It's just impossible for that character to work in a serious setting which is why he's so awful in DGUSA and EVOLVE. He's totally acceptable in a certain role on a card but when he's placed out of that position it all crumbles down into one giant mess.

Re: Ricochet

Yeah because the PWG environment suits his character and he can work comedy spots without them looking out of place. Plus if he ever did work a serious match it was in tags and/or with phenomenal workers like Generico and Young Bucks. He doesn't have that luxury in EVOLVE/DGUSA with the roster they have. The US guys aren't good enough to carry him to a legit match and the Japanese crew that they send over can't really work a "Chuck Taylor match" with him.
