NWA returns to iPPV with the Smoky Mountain Cup on 4/26/13 in Kingsport,TN.

Announced so far:

Chase Owens defends the NWA World Junior Heavy Weight title against former ROH World Champion Davey Richards.

12 man, 2013 Smoky Mountain Cup for a shot at the NWA World title. Participants announced so far:
Adam Pearce
Damien Wayne
King Shane Williams
Kyle O'Reilly
Sigmon
Jeff Connelly
Tony Kozina
Jason Kincaid

Ricky Morton is also on the card.

So far I like the wrestlers in the cup. Three veterans with different styles.

I think the format is 6 singles matches with the winners going to the finals in a 6 way elimination match.

NWA smoky mountain is honestly the sleeper indy in my mind, they have a great roster and really showcase their talent by bringing in solid workers to put them over.

This actually looks pretty good so far. Hopefully Owens/Davey work the match like their first and not the modern generic Richards match. Do something good with Wayne and Pearce too. I'd be stoked if they faced each other.

Chase Owens is a cool cat too. Even with Davey as his opponent I'm interested. It's a good rub for him.

Did you see their 2011 match? It's Davey Richards but it's not Davey Richards working a Davey Richards match and it's really great. Chase is great in it too. Pretty sure it's on youtube if you search it out. Worth anyone's time.

Nope. You've given me something to watch right now. See, that's what I was hoping for. The promotions name is NWA Smoky Mountain & I was hoping for Davey to try and work along the lines of that type of style - Southern.

I am pretty sure Jason Kincaid and Sigmon going to be in the cup judging by the picture of mystery men. Kincaid is a decent young talent and Sigmon is great.

Owens/Richards II? I'm gonna check that out, because their first match was great. I just want heel Davey now.
