Japanses Wrestling Schools

Currently I'm in High School but when I graduate I want to hop straight into a wrestling school. But I want a specific style of wrestling to do. My favorite wrestler, Low Ki, is a perfect example of the style I want to use which seems likes sort of a mixture between the lucha style and the Japanese style, but more Japanese than anything. My question is, should I just attend the nearest wrestling school and adjust my style as I move forward? Or should I find a Japanese school is I want that style?

If anyone knows a Japanese wrestling school in Eastern US then that'd be helpful.

The basics are the basics regardless of where you go. You have to learn to bump. You have to learn to sell. You have to learn how to not die. Any good wrestling school will teach you that. From there it's up to you.

Get trained and then you can adjust as you go.

Zero-1 is always inviting foreigners to come and train in Japan with them. Search it up online.

Re: Japanses Wrestling Schools

Well, If you want to be a unsafe fuck like Low-Ki, I'd recommend just doing a lot of MMA training. But anyways, Personal opinions aside, I'd say go to school and get the basics down first. No point in knowing how to do fancy stuff if you can't bump and your selling is so bad you make Davey Richards look like Dolph Ziggler in comparison. The only schools I know of in the Eastern US are the Chikara school and the CZW school. Neither of which would really be ideal though in this situation, considering Quack is apparently really protective about guys he trains and where they can work, and DJ Hyde is probably one of the biggest idiots in the business.

Although, I'd go to University/College before/while you go to wrestling school. Just to have something to fall back on if/when wrestling fails. (Not saying that to be condescending or anything. I'm just saying, there are millions of indy wrestlers and maybe hundreds make enough to live comfortably off of wrestling alone)

I would recomend going to an accredited school like Chikara or CZW's or Lance Storm and learning the basics, then depending on how things are going use the connections you make to try to get into the NJPW dojo. This is the Harvard of pro wrestling schools from around the world. This is how Benoit got started.
