Ain't no way ROH can take it to the next level with their current set up. They are not in a position to do so. They would have to make a drastic change.
Adam Pearce just happened to do DBD VIII and I think Delirious was in charge by the time of Glory by Honor.

I was just mentioning the iPPV but there were also the PPVs that got one excited. You had the first ever Ladder War to get amped about and the Nigel vs. Dragon match from Driven. I just want things to get slightly excited about.

And ROH might not be able to make it to the next level but shouldn't growth be the goal for all businesses. Even if they have to take a loss initially there should be a plan to bounce back. I wouldn't know if they have a plan but can't say it seems that way.

Re: ROH Fans, will you buy another ROH iPPV again?

The thing about ROH in the past was that they were losing money. ROH was always losing money which is why Cary was vigoriously looking to either sell the property or expand its audience to pull in more money. It's one of the reasons Gabe got canned to begin with, he knew how to book for ROH's hardcore audience and there is nothing wrong with that, however he didn't know how to draw outside of them which in turn hurt business. I don't know if they're losing money now under SBG but if they aren't then they're more financially stabilized now than they were before.

Their iPPV model needs to change, either outsource to a team that can do the job effectively or go the route of immediate digital downloads, which would be easier on their production. There are options out there, ROH just have to pursue them.

If this model is helping them make money I would be incredibly surprised but more power to them if they are. I can't figure out a frame of mind where the storylines are captivating enough to turn people into fans and where the technical issues they are having don't turn away at least a few fans. And as far as immediate downloads go I don't think that can really replace iPPVs. Maybe they could replace DVDs but there is some extra value in watching something live rather than after the fact.

It is but ROH isn't owned by Cary and Pearce isn't booking any more. If ROH came with a good money offer and maybe a concession or two about a couple of guys working for a DGUSA show or two I think Sal and Gabe would outsource WWN to them. Same with HybridENT, though they have just about as many problems with streams as ROH does.

Can't use Cornette as a scapegoat.

Let's stop all this nonsense, if the first 3 mess ups didn't stop fans from buying nothing will. The next IPPV will probably be the most successful IPPV of 2012 among indy companies.
Still doesn't mean it'll be profitable for ROH, and maybe/maybe not since all you have to do is wait three week and they'll replay matches on free tv.

Not a chance I'll order an ROH iPPV anytime soon.

Anyone who orders one deserves what they get.
