Re: This has to be the most disturbing event in wrestling history!!!

I know some people who do body suspension. As nasty as this is, not as dangerous as one might think if you know what you're doing. But yeah, NOT what I want to see on a wrestling show! The backlash was huge.

A column on it if anyone is curious.

CZW Redefined back in 2003.

Oh well, I admitted I typed wrong. Quit running in circles over something I already confessed to and at least add to the discussion.

Re: This has to be the most disturbing event in wrestling history!!!

That's disgusting. Not what I pay to see at an indy show, and I don't care how "safe" the practice actually is in reality. It's still a fat grown man being suspended by hooks. Wrestling is entitled to violence, but gouging hooks through somebody's back to make a point or sell an angle is where I draw the line.

Honestly, I'm convinced a good half of CZW, if not more, is bodily mutilation for the sake of it, and not wrestling. The other half is probably pretty good, but not the half that's just dudes wailing on one another with something sharp or made of glass.

Re: This has to be the most disturbing event in wrestling history!!!

CZW wasn't all that bad but for every Best Of The Best tournament or the early days of the Briscoes or the international talent they brought in, it was always overshadowed by shit like the video I posted, guys using weedwhackers and syringes on 1 another or the fact that very few storylines actually made sense.

IMO, CZW was at it's best when the PSAC somewhat banned ultraviolent wrestling.

Yeah this is really gross. Didn't bother watching the whole thing, but I'm not sure what would make anyone think this is a good idea.

I've got some 1999 CZW on right now that some dude put up on youtube and it's pretty much the worst possible ECW fed.

People have told me it's good, but it's like getting through snuff movies just to watch really good porn, it's impossible. I couldn't sit and watch it in fear something like this would end up happening. Glass and other weapons will forever have no place in wrestling. It's diabolical and disgusting, and the minds that like it aren't wrestling fans. I don't think you can watch a technical match and a match were somebody is hung by meathooks and have the same reaction.

Actually, I'm not thinking they aren't wrestling fans, I just can't get it into my head how you can enjoy that.
