Should AAW Go On Tour?

AAW is a promotion based out of Chicago. There current champ is Silas Young I was wondering should they go on tour. Why or why not should they do it? I personally think they would do well if they did them.

Re: Should AAW Go On Tour?

Local Indies are Local Indies for a reason. They put on good shows but that doesn't mean they'll draw a great crowd if they start running out of Chicago. I bet most of their audience at each show are regular or semi-regular at their shows. In the current economy I doubt too many Local Indies would be able, nor even want to tour.

The difference with AAW is they have a strong underground following.

Re: Should AAW Go On Tour?

They aren't big enough to tour. They have a good roster by the looks of things, but the company really doesn't have any big backing. It's not one of those promotions you see everywhere. They have their niche in Chicago, they don't need to, and probably can't afford to risk touring. They don't have the name value that say, CZW, Chikara, or Dragon Gate USA have. If they could get that name value, then touring may be a good idea, but for now they're best off staying in the Chicago area.

They have Silas Young and some others I think they could take the risk and tour. Maybe in 6 months or a year they can start touring. When they get a little bit more popular.

Re: Should AAW Go On Tour?

I agree with your views, AmazingChamp. Every single indie company in the U.S. should go on tour, it couldn't possibly lead to them all hemorrhaging money. No sir.
