Default Dgusa the new ROH?

Isn't DGUSA's current product pretty much the same as ROH's back in the day? except with more japanese talent. The pacing to the show, and storyline developement are all roh like.

I find it odd how DGUSA hasn't grown much of a following over the years and many old ROH fans have transitioned over to PWG rather than DGUSA.

what do you guys think of DGUSA? is it the new ROH?

It's impossible to be a fan of DGUSA because it takes them like 8 months to release their shows, but i do like their product.

fans can watch their ippv's live and on demand now, so thankfully it's not impossibly anymore.

I'm talking about house shows. And i've ordered Enter The Dragon DVD in the beginning of august and it's STILL not here (i'm not from USA but to ROH it took like a week, so no excuses for them). They are so cheap, i don't see them moving to the next level which is sad because their roster is so good.

I don't order iPPV. That makes it nearly impossible to follow them. If they have shows in my area I go to them but I never have a clue what's going on storyline wise with DGUSA/Evolve. DGUSA also has to switch up stables all the time to reflect on Dragon Gate in Japan and that just makes it even more confusing. I've been to shows a few months apart where like half the Japanese guys have switched from heel to face or face to heel.

I think PWG is the new ROH more than DGUSA

Just watched PWG Threemendous 3 (their 9th anniversary show) and I totally agree with you. PWG is 4th best wrestling promotion in USA right now.

Well booking wise, I can definitely attest to that older ROH feel (I mean it is the same person booking), however if you're not a "digital" guy like I am then following the promotion can be difficult. I myself can't do DVDs anymore and much prefer iPPV, VoD and digital downloads so WWNLive is like my best friend in this case lol.

PWG gets the same argument, it used to be known as the westcoast version of ROH (not sure if that's still used) so yeah you got that correlation as well. Just the atmosphere, the talent and the match quality that both promotions share really digs home the comparison really.

The main problem i have with DGUSA/Evolve is that, i am a DVD wrestling fan and i am still not hype about iPPV i prefer own the show.

PWG has crowd reactions and buzz that remind me of the old ROH, the only thing that is different is the lack of storylines there and the overkill, but if you are trying to find a company similar to Old ROH right now is PWG hands down.
