I don't want it dead, I just want them to hit the reset button and drop Sinclair. They picked the wrong time to decide to be the #3 promotion. With guys like Danielson, Nigel, Black, Daniels, Hero, Claudio and others all leaving within two years of one another, I'm not exactly sure how, or why, ROH thought it was a good idea to get a TV show. The company was fine before -- probably not nearly as widespread or profitable, but they were at least good at what they did and made the most of what they had at their disposal.

Seriously now, just go back to the DVD-and-occasional-iPPV format. It worked. I can't imagine ROH is doing any better, profits-wise, by having all these screw-ups, literally every single month. It's getting ridiculous and it's costing them a ton of money. I also can't quite understand how a wrestling promotion owned by a broadcasting company cannot capably air its live events. It's mind-numbing, really, and the sad thing is they're not likely to do anything about it.

I think the problem is they've just invested too much money at this point.

I agree though that if they had just kept the previous format, now with an increased budget, it would have worked. The increased budget could help ROH do a lot of things without spending too much. It's an argument that I fight every time I discuss ROH in this manner. They did 2,500 iPPV buys and were growing with every show before Sinclair television started. Since, they haven't touched 2,000 and won't even get 1,000 again for a LONG time, if ever. So you alienate your true audience, which is enough, imo, to be successful, and meanwhile you haven't attracted a single fan from television. I'm not going to blame them for a lot, but at least try and transition back in ways to the previous style/format.

Who really knows though what Sinclair's personal objectives are.

It really annoys me how in two years when they close up shop, the problem and excuses will be everything but the product. The booking right now is just awful awful stuff. It's so tough to watch one of their shows and no one gets over except for the supreme exceptions.

dropping sinclair and hitting the reset button would mean they're out of business. sinclair saved them lol.

Can they even "drop" Sinclair? Doesn't Sinclair own them? If their current show doesn't work by their owner's standards then I think it's pretty much over for ROH.

ROH don't see a problem with the product though and they'll just blame any decline on the tech errors and not the booking or in ring product.

They can't "drop Sinclair". ROH is Sinclair's to do what they want with it. They can't go back to the DVD exclusive format even if they wanted to. The TV Deal is there until they die. The show schedule needs to change though. Taping a month at a time or however many episode they do right now in between iPPVs and DVD shows just isn't feasible. Not like they never had that problem with PPV or HDNet before either so they should have been able to foresee the continuity errors that would come. Ideally, they need to run tapings every other week and air them within 2 weeks or just use the TV for running 2 hour specials say twice a month and either do them live or tape them no more than a week prior.

I said as soon as they started doing more than 4 iPPVs a year that the buys would decrease. No doubt they'll blame GFL for their tech errors in initially losing them fans so once again the booking and in ring product don't take the fall. They're not WWE or TNA. They don't have enough hours of TV to run an iPPV every 4-6 weeks. The 4 a year worked really well because they could have a huge main event on every iPPV and then get some really strong build in between iPPVs. 4 a year was really easy for the less hardcore fans to follow. You knew when they did an iPPV it was one of their big shows of the year and that it'd probably deliver. Plus 4 a year is really easy to ask fans to pay for to stream the show. Now the fans who don't actively follow ROH don't know which iPPV is a big one and which isn't. It's much easier to do 4 a year and get say 3,000 fans to buy all of them than running 8 a year and expecting say 1,500-2,000 to buy them all with slight fluctuations.

Long story short, they tried to be something they could never be with the money, talent available and show formats.

And that's when they're shamed into admitting it. When a fan forum has to tell people how to watch your show and wrestlers under contract are showing blank screens while all you're doing telling people to "Use Firefox" maybe it's time to get a clue. Then after just ignoring the problem for a day they're finally shamed into issuing an apology and a half-assed make good to try and sweep this under the rug. Why anyone would buy another ippv from them is beyond me. Just wait until someone puts it up on a torrent site or until they just show it on SBG for free anyway.

And all that said, watched the second half of the show and boy was that the definition of a flatline show. Nothing stood out from a positive standpoint, crowd didn't care for much of anything and WGTT ruin anything and everything they're a part of. Honestly won't even bother with trying to watch the first half when it comes out.

I didn't mean for ROH to "drop" Sinclair, though I will admit I worded that poorly. Ideally, the two parties would amicably depart and some rich asshole like Mark Cuban would buy them and throw a few million dollars their way so they can do it right. They already had a show on Cuban's network that did pretty well, so in the event Sinclair drops them and bankrupts them, they should see if somebody with both a bankroll and previous wrestling credentials would pick them up. Of course, that's all dependent on ROH being dropped, which could happen tomorrow or ten years from now. Or never at all.

I don't know/can't remember if its been mentioned but even Tommaso Ciampa was complaining about the feed. His twitter feed was more entertaining then the entire iPPV.
