Mike Bennett/Brutal Bob

I can't wait to see the in ring debut of this guy the video packages have really hyped him up to be amazing in the ring so I'm really curious to see how he does. He has a good look i like his theme music and his gimmick is alright but the one thing that really needs to go is Brutal Bob.

Brutal Bob seriously needs to go he's too cartoony acting and he's clearly a rip off of Mickey from the rocky movies, Mike Bennett would do so much better on his own. Brutal Bob's lame lines like Tomato cane's and leave em screaming for their mommy's just sounds lame and makes Bennett sound lame.

Re: Mike Bennett/Brutal Bob

I'm not a fan of Brutal Bob either. Sure, the videos showing Mike in training with him were fine but in Bennett's promo Bob got annoying with his lines IMO.

Re: Mike Bennett/Brutal Bob

I've got a feeling that the whole Bennett act is going to be "cartoony" and made-for-TV. Rather than being your traditional ROH character. Something like Rasche Brown was.

That is why it's called organized crime.

Re: Mike Bennett/Brutal Bob

Well if that's the case then we might as well try and figure out who they'll replace Bennett with in 2011. Of course part of that was Skullcrusher doing nothing except squashing guys and then going into a feud with the Embassy, which in 09-10 does nothing except get you fired.

Haven't seen enough of Bennett to say what he'll do as a wrestler, but I can already tell his manager is going to be an anchor for him like Truth is for Roderick right now.

Re: Mike Bennett/Brutal Bob

He had a match with Roddy the night before GBH IX. He was pretty good, but I didn't remember anything special about him. Hopefully he can impress me though.

Re: Mike Bennett/Brutal Bob

He kind of reminded me of Randy Orton in the way he carried himself.

Re: Mike Bennett/Brutal Bob

Bennett is definitely solid but his manager 'Brutal Bob' is beyond terrible, and as a result I'll find it very hard to care about him in the same way as I don't enjoy Roderick Strong because of the horrible 'Truth Martini'. Hopefully they drop him as Bennett's manager because, like it was said above in this thread, Bob is very cartoony and lame.

Yeah he strikes me as your classic OVW developmental trainee. Even though he isn't.
