I don't get caught up in the behind the scenes financial stuff, it boggs down the fun of loving this great sport for me and then I start getting too uptight and worried. Relax guys, ROH is not going anywhere any time soon and they are going to continue to put on great matches and cards for a long, long time, mark my words. There will always be a market for a wrestling company that promotes purity within the sport and ROH for a lot of people is that company, so sit back, enjoy and don't worry about the back end stuff, you will probably enjoy the product more in the end.

You do realize they almost closed last September and now they're losing far more money, right?

You can blame Gabe "I get hard for slanty eyes" Sapolsky for that.
But like CigarSmoker said, I don't really get caught up in the backstage workings of any promotion. I enjoy ROH, even if it isn't as great as it once was, it's still better than WWE and TNA, and isn't that the main thing? ROH is meant to be the real alternative to the big, primetime promotions. It can't be fantastic all the time. Everything has it's peaks and valleys (I think that's the right term?).

lol I think you got it right and I agree with this post. While I do question things they do with their money, I still enjoy the show. Sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's good. Isn't anything in the world the same way though? (excluding PWG, of course )

So? Like I said, I'm not one of these lame smarky behind the scene guys who needs to be caught up with all the spoilers and gossip every second of every day. I kick back, relax and enjoy watching wrestling without the fear of a promotion closing or having behind the scenes trouble, because it isn't my problem and all I want to do is enjoy the product. And because of this I get to enjoy pro wrestling "worry free"

That would seem to contradict your last statement. Your reassuring people on stuff you clearly have no concept of and admit to not caring about.

The latent racism in your quote aside, ROH's best selling DVD ever features Kobashi, among their most successful runs was 2006 with KENTA on top and they lost nothing, expanding to PPV with Morishima on top. Further, you're blaming Gabe for CARY wanting to close shop, which makes literally no sense. It was a financial decision based on a lack of growth at that time... and since they're not growing now, they're instead losing a ton on what they were, what makes you think ROH will last? Or that this has anything more to do with the bottom line? At the end of the day it might last, but to plug your ears and go "LALALALA" blaming the wrong people does absolutely nothing to help, though I suppose Ignorane is Bliss.

It wasn't racism, it's true. Gabe always books the Japs. Why do you think he's VP of Dragon Gate USA? I wouldn't be surprised if he has a mail order bride from there. How come we never see any Italian wrestlers (New Yorkers =/= Italians), or Dutch wrestlers, or German wrestlers, or African wrestlers, or Australian wrestlers, or Scandinavian wrestlers? All Gabe ever books is Japs and Americans, and maybe a couple of Canadians and Brits. There needs to be a bit more diversity, so Gabe isn't exactly my favorite booker.
But like I said, I don't like to get caught up in all the backstage drama. I don't really care if Gabe screwed up, if Cary screwed up, if they're in the crapper financially. The product is still good to me, so I'll just continue watching.

I have been watching pro wrestling for over 24 years, I have only been wrong once or twice when I get a hunch on a topic within this business, and thats without being some smarky fan. I can say with full confidence that ROH will be around for a long, long time to come. Call it a "hunch".....
