Very surprised to see Team 3D as champions, i'm actually surprised to see MCMG as champions too.

40,000 is a good attendance number though.

I saw the matches that Blasko put up, and I gotta say, the matches there seemed pretty sub-par for a PPV like this, let alone a new years dome show. Akiyama/Nakanishi was all right, but not exciting. GBH/3D was decent for what these guys were capable of (not that much for a Tokyo Dome show). MEM/GBH was short, uneventful, and pointless until Bernard spiked Angle AFTER the match (but that Hummer entrance was awesome). Misawa really showed his age in his match, and Suguira was seemingly not crazy about his match because it seemed like he was giving little opportunity for his opponents to do anything and he was barely selling to the point where Nakamura legit (I think) punched him in the face. As for the main event, they could have done the same match in a third of the time. I would need a calculator to count the number of dropkicks and dragon screws in that match, because it was so repetitive. All in all, the matches I saw (only the ones I listed here) were lacking drama and excitement. I hope the other matches I didn't see yet are better.

The odd Title win for 3D I think was caused by the exit of TenKoji before the match began. My guess is that the plan was for TenKoji to win the titles by pinning Makabe or Yano, but when TenKoji dropped out, 3D or TNA said "we're not jobbing, we've never lost in Japan". So NJPW probably just agreed to not start any arguments and since the GBH title reign was dragging along anyway.

Man, I gotta say, 3D racks up the tag gold.

That makes them champions in WWE, WCW (technically, ECW, TNA, and now IWGP.

Five different promotions with tag titles. Impressive. That's a legacy.

Can't wait to see this event on dvd(both the tna version and tapetrader one)
As much as I love Mutoh, just no. When he was "on" he was great but he could be rather hit or miss depending on how much effort he put forth in his matches. Still sad to hear that he is likely done with New Japan for good now, further ends the era of the Musketeers.

TNA better learn how too book foreign talent but i'm not holding out much hope for TNA in general. Quite pleased the MCMG won the Jr. Tag Titles and a bit baffled by 3D winning but they are a team with plenty of exposure so not a bad move on NJPW's part.

I don't really care about Low Ki leaving, not that I hate him or anything, just don't really care.

Liger & Sano in NOAH is an awesome concept, in fact NOAH and NJPW back together is pretty awesome.

The show will probably be my first chance to see Mistico. Not a nut for Lucha but I want to see if he is worthy of all the hype. I'd like to see him comeback to Japan for a more high profile match.

No Kevin Nash injury?

Sounds like a Nakanishi match alright. I'd rather watch paint dry (or Wataru Inoue for that matter) even if Akiyama rocks my socks.

Nagata you asshole how dare you diss Ohtani! You will be bitchslaped into oblivion!

The NOAH/NJPW partnership could be pretty awesome.

Just the thought of KENTA/Liger one on one is mouthwatering.

I hope All Japan joins the mix, mostly so Minoru Suzuki can start working with NJ and NOAH again and kill everybody.

Nakanishi's not terrible, but he's not super enthralling because the guy is simply too thick to be able to move quickly.
