It would be, put it likely won't. Youtube wants to be TV and would rather suck ass to MSM then allow original content.

This is probably my biggest annoyance when it comes to wrestling. How is it that everyone and their mother can spout "WRESTLING'S FAKE!" yet shit like this happens.

It's fake until a guy pushes a woman? It's fake until bad guys say something mean? It's fake until.....people get emotionally invested? What makes wrestling this thing that's been around as a part of pop culture for 80 years, but is still "outside of the box?" It makes no sense.

The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and every triple A M rated game franchise that comes out (GTA, COD, Assassin's Creed, etc) are all widely accepted with no strings attached, what makes "men in tights" so damned offensive? The Rock is literally the most popular guy in Hollywood. How is this a thing?!

Did this type of thing happen before Google bought YouTube?

I think this will ultimately work itself out, but it sucks that for the time being that WCPW, AIW, Beyond and the countless other promotions who use YouTube as a platform for additional revenue are robbed of that income because of YouTubes broken system. For years they allowed garbage content creators to make a ton of money with clickbait, bullying etc and the advertisers finally realized what some of their ads are playing on. There are still big issues with the system (ie big titles such as COD WWII videos being demonetized when most advertisers would love to advertise on that IMO). Hopefully WWE gets involved with this because that's probably the best bet at getting wrestling off the restricted list.

This is honestly trash, WCPW was literally a YouTube-centric themed wrestling federation which is kind of unique! Now YouTube is just making it harder for wrestling to get by.

I thought the whole reason youtube content creators were getting less ad revenue was because advertisers pulled a billion + dollars off the platform so the company needed to be more selective in choosing who should get the ad money they are generating. If this is the case I'm not surprised companies like What Culture are taking a hit because channels that make music are much safer investments for advertisers.
Despite not being much of a fan of their content, I do feel bad that they are losing 30% of their revenue and are not being told how to make their content more "advertiser friendly" to regain said revenue.

There is a big fight going on about free speech, hate speech, what is friendly and what isn't on all bigger social platforms. Lots of shit, not only wrestling, will get hit badly for no apparent reason till some consensus is reached or whole social media thing dies.

Sadly to the mainstream, wrestling is a very carny small time business.
