Ive been wanting to get into pwg for a long ass time. From what ive seen on youtube these guys are INSANE and are doing some of the most innovative spots ive seen since ecw. Pwg is the only wrestlingcompany with some sorta steam I dont watch. Wwe,njpw, tna, roh, aaa, european indies etc I all watch.

So where Do I start? They do one ppv every month correct? What are some of the recent better shows I could get into? Do they do ippv? I live in Sweden so I dont feel like ordering a bunch of dvds that will take weeks to get here.

They do a show every 6 weeks, I believe. All of their recent shows have been awesome so just get the last one that came out, From Out of Nowhere.

If I had to pick a specific place to start, I'd go with Threemendous 3 (in 2012) main evented by quite possibly the greatest PWG match ever in Young Bucks vs. Future Shock vs. Super Smash Bros. in a Ladder Match.

On the strength of that main event alone, that is a tremendous pick.

Two past matches i recently watched and uploaded:

PAC vs El Generico (PWG World Championship) (All Star Weekend V Night 1)

To be completely honest, I'm not sure there's a wrong place to start. Just because nobody has mentioned it yet I'd say check out DDT4 2012, one of my favorite PWG shows. They do about 7 events each year, I'd recommend checking out Steen Wolf from 2011, Mystery Vortex and Threemendous 3, as for recent, definitely check out BOLA from 2014 along with Black Cole Sun 2014, the most recent release, From Out of Nowhere is also a must watch because it introduced a lot of new talent that PWG has brought in because of them losing some big players due to ROH contracts. They don't have iPPV I believe but you could try Highspots TV to see if there is anything on there.

They don't do iPPVs. Most of us get DVDs from them but if you don't want to go that route Highspots has video downloads (so no international shipping at least).

http://www.highspots.com/c/PWG-VOD.html

Kind of tricky on where to start thought. Their early shows aren't really worth going out of your way see (and frankly some of the early stuff isn't worth the time).

The last couple show actually are a decent place to start because they've had a lot of roster turnover recently with ROH blocking some guys from working there so a lot of new guys are doing shows there now.

And they really don't do many storylines so you can easily pick up a show and watch it.

If would just grab the most recent shows if I were you and maybe try out their "PWG Sells Out" videos that they have up there to get a sampling of some of their great older matches.

You should just watch the next show that is gonna be uploaded/shipped, Don't Sweat The Technique. It's really easy to get into. Also the ME of that show was Roderick Strong vs. ZACK FUCKIN' SABRE JR. That must be an awesome match, as Roddy has been on fire for the whole 2015 (so far), and ZSJ was fucking amazing at last year's BOLA.

Also here is a list of some of my favorite PWG matches, you should check out some of 'em.

Bryan Danielson vs. CIMA (DDT4 2007)
Bryan Danielson vs. El Generico (Giant-Size Annual #4 )
Bryan Danielson vs. Low Ki (All Star Weekend 6)
Bryan Danielson vs. CIMA (All Star Weekend 6)
Bryan Danielson & Roderick Strong vs. The Young Bucks (DDT4 2009)
Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Hero (Guerre Sans Frontiéres)
El Generico & Paul London vs. The Cutler Brothers vs. The Young Bucks (SEVEN)
Kevin Steen & Akira Tozawa vs. El Generico & Ricochet (All Star Weekend 8)
Kevin Steen vs. El Generico (Battle of Los Angeles 2011)
Kevin Steen vs. El Generico (Steen Wolf)
Drake Younger vs. Sami Callihan (All Star Weekend 9)
Zack Sabre Jr, Kenny Omega & Chuck Taylor vs. The Young Bucks & Adam Cole (Battle of Los Angeles 2014)
Kenny Omega vs. ACH (Battle of Los Angeles 2014)

Long list, but all of those matches are worth watching. :p

Also check this out, amazing video package of ZSJ's BOLA performance last year:

I love this match but I'm pretty surprised that you would like that type of match.

I recomend you just watch the most recent show. I started wth PWG like 2 years ago and tried to watch shows from 2008, 2009, etc, but it didn't give those emotions that new shows give. Matches were good but, the fact that most of those wrestlers either in wwe or jsut dont perform for PWG anymore bothered me for whatever reason.

Maybe you wont have this little problem, but thats my advice. And if you still want to watch older shows, just pick a card with names you like and you wont be dissapointed cause everyone works their 100% in PWG.

BOLA 2011 is must watch. If you watch one event, it's that. Continue from there, 2012 was the best year in company history. Went downhill in 2013, but I seem to be in the minority who think that, seeing as popularity grew tenfold during that year, it seems.

you can start from anywhere, there are no storylines at all. First show I saw was Steenwolf back in 11 and have been hooked since. I have every show from 2011-2013. 2014 I have all 3 nights BOLA and that it. I have a few shows prior to 2011, I forget which ones. Best time to buy PWG dvds is around thanksgiving when they do the 5 for 40 deal as many times as you want.
