Default AJ Styles........Best in the world?

I wanna start by saying I'm very new to njpw, so i'm sure i'm a prisoner of the moment. I also wanna say that I don't watch any cmll or smaller indy promotions outside of roh here and there. I don't have a scope of all the talent that's out there, that's why I'm not saying aj styles is the best in the world.

I just wanna ask you guys; for your money today, is aj styles in the conversation for being best in the world?

I don't know, everyone's critera for best in the world is different. For me, its who entertains me the most at a high level and I expect that from that performer.. AJ is at least in that conversation but I'm really limited to NJPW and WWE right now so..

see, that's how I feel. I know how people feel kind of disrespected for a noob coming in and making these bold claims, but from what I have seen it's hard to think of anyone better. From an overall stand point anyways

Well, personally I think he is the 2nd best wrestler in the world after Bryan.

AJ is wrestling in a top spot which gives him points in his favor.. WWE's top spot is currently Cena and I haven't liked him in years.. So to put it a better way, AJ Styles is the best in the world at being a World champion lol. imo.

Even if I brought in PWG and ROH, I don't really like O'reilly or Elgin.

Bryan was my Best in the world before but now he might never come back the same.

I think also the best in the world is a guy that can wrestle anyone and it be a good match at least.

Granted I have never watched TNA and I don't follow Japan closely enough to say much about it, but I think Roderick Strong has consistently put on more good to great matches over the last decade than anyone. Based on that criteria, I consider him the best in the world. I like watching Cole and O'Reilly more compared to AJ as well. All that said, I am enjoying AJ's current journey a lot this year.

Considering that Bryan is out of action, I would say that AJ Styles is probably the best American wrestler right now. He is on a roll and holds the title in the 2nd most important wrestling promotion in the world.

However NJPW itself has wrestlers that are on a similar level that he is, which is why he has been able to showcase his skill much more so than he did in TNA. I wouldn't necessarily rate him over guys like Tanahashi, Okada, Nakamura, etc.

He's not better than the man he replaced in The Bullet Club, personally for me but he is one of the best imo.

Yes, I agree he is in the conversation right now. He has put on great matches with all different types of opponents recently. The fact that most of these have been totally new and fresh for all of us to see makes a big difference also.
