Default Steamboat No Longer A Trainer

Quote:
- Ricky Steamboat is no longer coaching in WWE developmental and said his goodbyes on Thursday night. Steamboat remains with the organization in the Talent Relations division.

I wonder who will or who has taken over for The Dragon in developmental.

Well, Ricky is still with the company in talent relations, so Richie should be ok lol

Maybe that's part of reason Ricky is gone from NXT? Cause after WM Ritchie will be called up to roster and we'll have Ricky as his manager?

Either way, I think being part of talent relations is more important than training guys. It doesn't matter how good a trainer you have, if the guys you scout(or your scout in general) sucks, you won't get far.

Baby Dragon will be just fine. He has the skill to stand on his own quite well.

Actually Asenath, I do agree. He is a talented dragon for sure. I was mostly being a smartass, but I loved seeing papa on NXT and will miss that. I would love to see Malenko as the new trainer, or Lance Storm.

Lance Storm did a guest stint down there, according to his blog. He sounded as if it went well.

Excellent... I got to meet him when he was booking shows in Calgary and the guys there loved him. (PWA maybe? I always forgot which promotion was doing which shows at the Ogden Legion lol) Anyway, guys like Ohno are kind of beyond needing a trainer, and Ohno would be great at it if he wasn't on his way up. They do need someone with some solid skills to help the fresh faces refine their style. I know Malenko isn't doing that anymore, but Storm would be a great fit. They should bring in a trainer for their writing staff though... ugh...
