Lightbulb WWE Superstars should have a television home + a title

I think that they should revamp WWE Superstars. Still keep the jobbers, but at least put it on TV and give it a title. Those guys bust their asses off on Superstars, and WWE doesn't give them ANYTHING in return. Instead of Superstars being a show nobody watches, why not give it a title? So the jobbers could have something for them. Just an idea?

I think they should use Main Event and Superstars to focus on the Midcard championships, like the IC for main event and US for superstars. Would make a lot of sense and would give these shows more purpose and a reason to watch rather than random jobber match ups each week. I don't think I've ever watched a full episode of Superstars and probably never will, there is no reason to at all. The show has no purpose and is a waste of time unless you are interested in watching random wrestling match ups. I agree with you OP but not a new title, use the current midcard titles on the show and build each show around a specific championship and that would give the matches on raw and smackdown a bigger build behind it.

I agree with the above post. I would much rather Main Event be used as a show build exclusively for developing the midcard and protecting the midcard champions from irrelevancy.

Putting nothing but new talent on a TV show won't work because people wouldn't watch. You need to have established stars in the mix.

WWE already has too many belts. Apparently they stopped doing the 2 brand thing with Raw and Smackdown, but yet there are still 2 world titles and 2 secondary belts. Which really makes no sense. There is also NXT which has its own heavyweight and tag belts, so adding even more titles on the weekend would make the title scene even more watered down. But if they ever wake up and unify some titles, I think that could make room for a TV title, and making that part of the weekend mid card showcase would make a lot of sense. Personally, I would rather see a new cruiserweight belt and have the weekend show focus on that division exclusively. The standout matches in WCW were almost always the cruiserweight ones. Sadly. that probably will never happen because WWE fans want to tune in to WWE programming to see the names they know do the same 4 moves every week like circus monkeys. And WWE has never understood and will never understand the appeal of wrestlers who aren't supper ripped. The McMahons love bodybuilders.

The United States Title was supposed to be the belt for the low level guys once Ryder won it. It went from Ryder, to Swagger, to Santino. Then they gave it to Cesaro and then suddenly gave him this huge push where he's wrestling the main event faces every week. Now the U.S. Champ is too good for his own division and there's no one who can be a real threat to him. Former World Champions like The Miz have to step DOWN so that he can have a credible contender.

Problem is, Main Event and Superstars are irrelevant to begin with.

I would rather they let SmackDown be the platform where the midcard can get over, while all the main event guys who appear on RAW anyway are officially drafted to the RAW brand.

Let SmackDown be the new Superstars, but let the wrestlers have storylines and cut promos too so that they can connect with the fans.
