Re: Should Curt Hawkins get released?
Curt Hawkins has been a wrestling fan all of his life. He said on Cabana's Art of Wrestling that if he wasn't signed by WWE so early in his career that he would have gone to ROH and honed his craft around the world on the Indy circuit. He told a story of how he and Zack Ryder would go to merchandise stands before shows and buy shirts he didn't have. He and Zack, while in DSW, went to a Toys R' Us and found limited edition Wrestlemania action figures and held them over the counter until they got the paycheck to buy them (Zack called his dad to go buy them for him). Curt, as told by Tyler Reks, was willing to do the stripper gimmick because he wanted to be on TV badly. He and Zack came up with the spot for Taker to land on them at Wrestlemania. Curt Hawkins on twitter mentions all the time about old wrestling matches and studying them. Curt Hawkins even befriended Kevin Nash and asked him for advice on how to be better. He tries his hardest to learn from the veterans and ask legends advice when they are backstage.
Is Hawkins the most talented wrestler there? No. Is he the best talker? No. Does he want to be there? Yes he does. He, as he's said himself, is living his dream job. Just because he isn't on TV doesn't mean he's just doing it for the pay check.
