Shades of his father...

I happen to think Michael McGuillicutty could be a household name, or at least a solid heel like his father. One of the things that stood out to me was when Mr. Perfect smashed the WWF title which was then held by Hulk Hogan at the time. It was in a match with The Genius where at the end Perfect took Hogans world title. From there we all know happened from that point on. For those that don't here is the video....

It would be nice to see Michael take on Seth Rollins, and pretty much do the same as his father did. Smash up the NXT title, and make it something that prolongs their feud for the title. I would love to see Joe Hennig come out, and say that he is not going to disgrace his family name anymore. Smash up the NXT title to make a statement, and bill himself as "The Big Shot" Joe Hennig.

He won't use the name Henning because he doesn't want to live under his father's shadow.

Re: Shades of his father...

He can't go by his "real" last name because the WWE can't trademark actual names. That's why (virtually) no one shows up using his/her real name anymore.

Re: Shades of his father...

I think his ship has sailed by now I'm sad to say- it is a shame because he actually got some decent reactions when he made his debut on NXT as a face and he obviously has the size and athleticism. I'd like to see him get some sort of push to at least show what he can do- he has never really had an opportunity to show his worth as a singles performer yet.

Layla, Daffney, Beth Phoenix. What more could a guy want?

Re: Shades of his father...

He's like a blend of his father and grand-father. The athleticism and maneuverability of Mr. Perfect/ the size and strength of The Axe. Just beginning his career so he's not banged up yet and has time to continue improving. His feud and series of matches with Tyson Kidd was enjoyable for me.

I love professional-wrestling.

Re: Shades of his father...

McGuillicutty is gold, but they should really change his name. I like him and his attitude.

Dashing no more.

Re: Shades of his father...

He's horrible and he doesn't deserve to carry his fathers name into his wrestling career. Decent worker, but completely dull as poster above said.
