Re: Shades of his father...

I wouldnt be surprised if they give him a JBL type title run towards the end of his career. He has improved so much since that god awful NXT promo a few years back, his matches and skill int he ring have also improved, he pretty much has been working hard for it and it shows.

Re: Shades of his father...

He could easily call himself "The Perfect Son" Michael Hennig. What I was aiming at was his little run in with Seth Rollins could go some where similar to what his father did to Hulk Hogan. It was in a match with The Genius in which at the very end of the match Mr.Perfect stole Hogans title. Later, Perfect would be shown backstage with The Genius, and Mr.Perfect is smashing The WWF title that Hogan was still the Champion of. Perhaps Seth Rollins has a match with Sandow, and McGuillicutty comes out to steal the NXT title, and then smashes it to bits just like his father had done to Hogans title. I think it would be a great way to get him over. Most fans won't remember that his father did this. This leads to another title being made, and thus forces Dusty to suspend Michael. Possibly furthering their feud down the line.

How many casuals in 2012 remember Beulah from back in 1995?

Re: Shades of his father...

McGillicutty is not a bad wrestler.

But he has a dull personality(wow, he's intense), a bland character, a generic look(damn, even the entrance jacket is generic) and a non-existent gimmick. So I would see no purpose in pushing him.

McGuillicutty (however you spell it) is brilliant. I'd love to see more of him on TV. I personally think he could have been where Del Rio is now given the opportunity, I also think he'd be a way better choice in that position of 'high level' heel.

Re: Shades of his father...

He's just too bland in my opinion; extremely solid worker, great performance and work rate and definitely got a look that could make him mildly successful in he midcard of the WWE but I can't see him stretching much beyond that.

Re: Shades of his father...

The guy has shown flashes of having personality/character. I just don't think they've let him do enough consistently to get himself anywhere. Of course, that applies to 90% or so of the roster.

Re: Shades of his father...

To be blunt Michael strikes me as a dull, backwoods hilljack. I suppose there's always room for improvement but at the present, he merely exists.
