Default Why is there just one tag team?

Anyone else curious as to why the show NXT has one legit tag team The Ascension, and one tag team in the making on the show? A while back there was a vignette that aired with a tag team named "Hollywood Express", and it featured Woods, and Dalton as the tag team. I believe it's still on here, page 5 at the very top. Anyhow, what's point of that vignette? There aren't any tag team titles even though NXT has over 40 stars to accommodate a tag team title scene. Your thoughts.

Because those two teams are being prepped for WWE television. They're going to be added as legit teams when they debut and bring more legitimacy to the division instead of just putting two guys together.

While NXT Wrestling is their developmental fed, "WWE NXT" the show only showcases the best and brightest of developmental. The ones who are close to being ready for primetime.

I've kind of dabbled with the idea of tag team titles as well in my mind. It would be kind of cool, but the point of tag teams on NXT has already been pointed out on commentary. It's merely a way for talent to get noticed and move up the ranks to get on RAW or Smackdown.

With that being said, a few more legit teams would be nice to see, but I'd rather them not rush unready teams. So far, so good!

I get that point, but there are over 40 stars on the show, and they can only come up with one wrestling tag team, and then a vignette for a team we haven't seen yet, The Hollywood Express. Part of me now is just wishing the WWE had just went with having Ohno, and Cesaro as a tag team. Especially now with Sara Del Rey in training. You clearly have one of the more "known" tag teams in professional wrestling with Ohno, and Cesaro.

Granted the WWE Universe may not be fully aware of these two men, but there are plenty that do. Obviously they promoted themselves well enough over the years because it landed them in the WWE. We know tag teams don't last forever, and so eventually a break up happens. However, I feel like NXT would be perfect for The Kings of Wrestling. Cesaro really isn't doing much outside of just winning the United States title because they can't find a reason to keep it on Santino other than the fact that Marella is a total joke.

Sometimes people can bring out the best in each other. I find this to be true when Cesaro, and Ohno are a tag team. It's very similar to The New Age Outlaws in that neither man was really doing much on their own. However, when together they both seemed that much more entertaining. Overall I think Kassius Ohno has the "brighter" career ahead of them, but I wouldn't rule out Cesaro. He could easily be a WHC on Smackdown as it's top heel in the future should they play his cards right.
