Kassius Ohno changing his finisher?

As we all know Wade Barrett has sorta stolen Kassius Ohno's finisher, and last week on NXT Kassius defeated a jobber with a Cravat submission. He did his KO Elbow but he didn't end the match with it. Is this a sign that he's gonna drop his KO finisher since Wade is using it now? I wouldn't be asking this if he just did it once but he made the guy tap twice to that Cravat hold, which got me thinking he might be changing his finisher to that.

I really hope they don't get rid his KO gimmick, thats what he's had his entire career almost and he's very good with it. He's been building up his KO power for months now in FCW and NXT and it was getting really good. Besides his KO Elbow looks way more devastating than how Barrett does it.

Would be nice if the WWE had these two start a twitter war with one another over it. Kassius is in NXT, and we all know Wade Barrett has a history with NXT from the past. Granted it's not the same show, but I don't think casuals would care. Wade should head down, and do a couple of taped shows with Ohno.
I think a feud between the two men would be nice to see as both are solid on the mic. Granted Kassius is a nobody in terms of his relevancy to most WWE casuals, but I think it would be something to experiment with.

Oh god i just watched the recent episode of NXT this week, and it does indeed look like he's changing his finisher to that Cravat hold. Little by little he's starting ditch his knock out gimmick and becoming just a dangerous guy that hurts people. I knew it since Barrett had to go and steal his KO gimmick that they would force Ohno to change his gimmick up. Which pisses me off since Barrett's Elbow looks so damn week, Ohno does it a million times better.

Notice how this week there was no emphasis on his KO Elbow. He nailed Richie with it and they didn't even talk about it, he went right into that Cravat Hold after and Richie was still conscious apparently, even though his Elbow's usually knock people out.

I just don't think thats right. A guy has a gimmick his whole career and stays in development for months with it, and just when he's nearly on TV Barrett returns and takes his gimmick away from him forcing him to get another one. Hero's had his KO Elbow his whole career thats his thing he throws elbows, but now he has to ditch it just because Barrett returned.

It really won't be that much of a problem. Kassius has various moves that he can use as his finisher. On a side note I like camouflage attire as well. It also looks like he is getting back in to shape. His love handles aren't hanging over his trunks as bad as when he first debuted. lol. His match with Richie was solid, and his Lets go Jesus chants are awesome. His finisher was reversed so that's a good reason to get rid of it since the reversal of his old move was how he lost.

I agree that it is pretty poor that Barrett has been given a gimmick and move that were working well for a guy on the development show, especially as Chris Hero has been using that elbow for years, I know he used The Cravat in the indies as well, but the whole "he is Chris Hero and he throws elbows" thing was brilliant.
I actually liked The Wasteland as a finisher, it only really worked well for Wade because he is strong enough to have it look effective, but he took out enough main event guys with it to be a legit match-ender.

You never know Barrett could have had some influence on it. Who's to say he didn't go to the writers or whoever and pitch the idea? The writers didn't come up with Stone Cold, Austin did and pitched the idea. Barrett was a bare knuckle fighter, he could have went to them and suggested he start using it more in his character.

Either way i was just talking in a kayfabe sense about Barrett taking the gimmick, you don't always have to make it clear the writers are to blame.

Stepping back and viewing both Chris Hero and Barrett's careers overall instead of through a microscope in small sample sizes, Chris Hero has been a MUCH MUCH better performer than Barrett in almost all aspects of wrestling. I hate this "what have you done for me lately" stance that many people on here take towards journeymen wrestlers. The fact that Barrett is using a poorly done version of Ohno's finisher and gimmick is ridiculous and insulting on many levels. Barrett's one great trait is his word delivery. He has very little charisma, other than those few backstage segments, decent presence that doesn't seem to translate with a large audience, average ring skills, and a mediocre look. Having said all that I enjoy Barrett, but by stealing aspects from a superior talent like Hero, I'm having a hard time enjoying him as much lately.

Hopefully Chris Hero soon drops this wildman look and adopts his ROH knock out kid look, complete with the rap music entrance, and flashy attire. That gimmick fits his personality much better than his work in NXT. I would like to see creative, catch-phrase laden, promos again that echo back to a young mohammad ali, because THAT is a gimmick that will make him a star in the wwe.

This week Ohno used the spinning elbow to defeat Percy Watson. I guess that means he won't be changing it. It's really not the same move as Wade Barrett anyhow now that I think about it. However, close enough, and I think Wade needs to go back to using "Wasteland".
