Congratulations, not that it means much considering the fact she's the reason why the women's division has been on the decline since her title victory. Its still a pretty cool feat considering if you sit on it, and to think WWE would give this honor to her, a woman nevertheless (sorry, it had to be stated), is impressive. Shows how far they've come when it comes to presenting their female performers.

Ya can't say I disagree that her streak has pretty much killed NXT women's division.

They had to bring in Mickie to give Asuka a match at Takeover because the roster got pillaged because they had went all-in on Asuka and never cared to build someone else up. Then they start to build Peyton/Billie and Nikki up and what happens? Asuka beat them in fatal 4 which kind of killed the Peyton/Billie "Iconic Duo" hype from the standpoint of they are a duo and not once in the fatal 4 way did they attempt to pin each other to steal the title. Nope Asuka overcame those odds in quick fashion.

Then there was another slap in the face of the division when she literally pinned both Ruby and Nikki. So basically at the past 3 TakeOvers she has went over pretty much the entire active on-screen women's roster Ember, Peyton/Billie, Nikki and Ruby

:clap

I don't even watch NXT, but I see photos & clips on Twitter sometimes.

The greatest diva WWE will ever see. She deserves that. Goldberg is boring anyway.

The question in all this is: Should being undefeated in NXT be considered the same as being undefeated on the main roster? It's like having an undefeated streak in AAA being counted as the same as the Major Leagues. She hasn't gone up against Charlotte and Co, yet. So I can't consider it as being on par with Goldberg's.

It would have been better if it was given to a guy who could have potentially drawn at a higher rate, but congrats on her.

As in Goldberg's case, it doesn't matter if Asuka's streak is real or not.
It's the intention of WWE to make of her such a dominant figure...

I know the perfect outcome to her glorious dominance... And it's not making her Bobby Roode's girl:lol
I'll explain it later in another topic.

I rate Asuka in every aspect higher than Goldberg, but her reign has been let down by a severe lack of credible challengers. What ever shit people want to give latter year WCW, it isn't due to the lack of legit title contenders.

Nobody can convince me that anyone else could have done a better job this whole time, so I'm fine with Asuka being champion this long. I won't deny that the build for Takeover matches has been lacking and I do think they should have tried to make some of the other women look more credible. It's definitely not been a flawless reign but overall I've enjoyed it.

She needs to lose at Brooklyn though. Staying champion any later than that would be ridiculous. After being booked this strong for such a long time I hope they don't pull some cop out bullshit with her vacating the title. Asuka should give back and put at least one person over before finishing with NXT. I'd have her take several losses even.

You know, she might actually be the weakest champion on the roster in terms of how healthy it is for the division.

Roode is having decent matches with other varying imports to NXT.
Authors of Pain are great foils for the division and it hasn't gotten to a point where it's an annoyingly long telegraphed title reign.
Pete Dunne just got finished giving the UK title an NXT TakeOver moment.

Asuka is uh..just holding onto it until they feel like pulling the trigger on Ember Moon, with the rest of the division being moved down, week after week, plus she just got finished pinning two of the strongest booked women at the same time in the same match, in an underwhelming match.

It might be botched because with Ember Moons injury, you made people instantaneously go "oh well Asuka is definitely not losing it now" for the last TakeOver. That certainly didn't help.

It also drastically doesn't help that Asuka is the weakest performing champion at almost every TakeOver since she's been in the title picture, back when whoever was champion usually put on the BEST match on the card.

Scott Hall is only saying that because him and Nash have bad blood with Goldberg, they hate each other, so of course he would post that. Deep down beneath all that hatred, Scott knows Goldberg is better than Arse-Ka on any day by a country mile.

She isn't half the star that Goldberg is and doesn't come close to his impact and the legacy he left on the business. Asuka is overrated and boring and she's made the NXT Women's Division also boring in the process whereas Goldberg kept WCW going and interesting in their battle against the WWF in the MNW, he was neck a neck with Austin in 98. There really is no comparison here, Goldberg's streak drew, Asuka's doesn't. And this was most likely a forced unbeaten streak, you knew from day one that WWE was gonna book her as the most dominant female in NXT, probably planned the streak from day one, whereas Goldberg became "Da Man" naturally and his streak wasn't planned.
