Don't get me wrong, there were some good wrestlers in that field. But they're not even signed, and it seems like they're just going to wrestle each other in pointless exhibition matches that I plan to skip on principle. All it does is further water down an already dire show and take time away from other developmental talents.
Well they've already done the best match they can do in Dunne vs. Mandrews. I like Dunne a lot. But quality matches are a dime a dozen these days.. Meanwhile NXT's tag and womens' divisions suck and there's no midcard.
I'm mostly just annoyed at how shitty NXT has become, this week's was the first I've sat through in a while because I wanted to see Ohno. It just feels like they've given up.
I thought wrestling wise February was a crap month for WWE. Only matches I feel are actually worth talking about are the UK Title Match and Dunne's match against Andrews on NXT.
All 16 guys that worked the tourney were signed to 1 year WWE first deals that guaranteed them 20k in American dollars. IT was the equivalent of what Gargano/Ciampa worked under for the longest and what Tessa Blanchard was offered
Like I actually went out of my way to watch NXT last week solely because of Mark Andrews VS Pete Dunne. I love Pete Dunne, and the matches he has with Mark Andrews are always good, it's impossible for them to have a shit match together.
I hadn't watched NXT in probably close to like 6 years...
So that says something.
