The Revival is the best tag team in the entirety of WWE

Agree or disagree?

I certainly agree. I never was much of a fan of tag team wrestling, I find most matches boring and predictable (probably because we get random tag matcher all the time.) But not so with Dash and Dawson. These guys are geniuses and turn it into an art, the matches are exciting, suspenseful, and their style is perfect for it.

They are the common thread of why NXT tag wrestling has been so good, and while American Alpha and Gargano and Ciampa are great, I don't think the matches would have been nearly as good without the Revival.

I am hoping they get called up soon as they are more than ready and could greatly effect the tag division.

I disagree, I think they're the best tag team in the entirety of pro-wrestling. No tables, no ladders, no chairs, just pure, credible heel wrestling.

They've been the highlight of this year for me, they're incredibly consistent and they've managed to drag the NXT tag division into the same 'critically untouchable' spotlight that the NXT women occupied last year. To put it simply, The Revival are fucking amazing.

You know what? American Alpha is my first love, but I'll be damned if I take credit away from The Revival. The Revival has been MAKING all of these face tag teams work by giving them rubs like in the old NWA Tag Team wrasslin days. As far as I am concerned, their psychology is brilliant and a lot of tag teams (even American Alpha), seem to be learning it and using it in future matches (it's mostly showing in the Smackdown division, after that match I saw with American Alpha vs. Breezango). Their mic skills are very VERY robust and in your face. They're more like "The Club" than the actual Club are in terms of beating people up.

I can even go far to say that they are MAKING a lot of these face tag teams. They actually made Enzo and Cass better performers than they used to be. American Alpha rose off of their platform in a great trilogy of matches in a captivating feud. They practically made Gargano and Ciampa at Brooklyn (they feel vanilla now). They're sure as hell going to make TM61 and they will make everyone else who comes in contact with them. They may not be the top team of the company, but they're going to MAKE the top guys in the company and you need Flair-esque type people who can do that. It's The Revival, they are reviving tag team wrestling.

I disagree, they are the best tag team in professional wrestling.

I've been saying for over a year now that they are the tops in NXT in terms of match quality and it's been clear for a while now that they are the common thread between all of these amazing tag matches happening at the Takeover shows, and even the 2 out of 3 falls on weekly NXT. American Alpha is great, but they are always at their best when in the ring with Dash and Dawson... Not the other way around.

How about Smackdown completely trashes Raw by holding a best of 7 between Alpha and Revival for the dime titles culminating at Wrestlemania?

When The Revival first formed they were just 'there' for me, they were a team that was just there to fill the numbers, they were sort of on the level of Blake and Murphy in that they were just there to job out and maybe pick up a credibility building win here and there. Ever since they first won the tag titles however, they've been absolutely unbelievable. Their rise wasn't quite as meteoric or as well documented as American Alpha's, but it's criminal how under appreciated they were by a lot of people i think. I remember making a thread months ago saying how under rated they were, and i'd like to think i was very much right about that.

They've been the most consistent team of 2016. Alpha aren't far behind, and the two teams' series of matches were amazing, but Revival have managed to keep up that level during their feud with Gargano and Ciampa, while Alpha have stalled a bit (Admittedly down to them not having a focused direction right now, but hey ho). They're a fantastic heel tag team who have managed to make old school tactics work in the modern era, and again, i can't remember the last time they actually had a bad match. Best NXT tag champs of all time, and certainly the best team in the company right now.

I agree. I enjoy them a lot more than American Alpha.

I agree. They bring old school into this new generation and prove that it can still work. Sadly, the rest of the rosters don't know a damn thing about how to make the old school work, so they do what every other wrestler does: appeal to the hardcore indy lovers instead of the ones that you're trying to get to start being fans again, the casuals.

New Day, Enzo&Cass, Alpha and Vaudevillians appeal to hardcore indy lovers! I doubt any of those guys even known what hardcore indy lovers are.

I like Revival but two short, ugly guys who don't cut catchphrases or perform outlandish moves are going to attract casuals how exactly? In 1998 the Legion of Doom were considered uncool when the casual audience began climbing aboard.

Their character work, well... works. Along with Ciampa/Gargano and American Alpha, The Revival are the cream of the crop when it comes to wrestling ability among WWE tag teams.

But entertainment wise they don't top Enzo & Cass, at least in my book. They don't top Owens and Jericho either in that regard.

Let's see them work three minute main roster television matches first. Their shit is great when they have time, but they're blandness will be exposed when they only have three minutes. Not to mention their both pretty small dudes. I think best case use of them on the main roster is in a faction where they can be the dirty job types where wins and losses are secondary to the success of the faction.

They've already done those 3 minute matches in NXT before. Personally, I don't believe their size is an issue, they're not that different from the tag teams in the 4 horsemen . Look no further than Arn Anderson with Ole or Tully. Not exactly big guys but with solid frames that make them believable with their in ring style. They are heels with great in ring psychology , which has been missing in tag team wrestling.

And no, I'm not comparing them in terms of skill or drawing power but rather having similar styles in ring

Boring, bland, generic looking guys with no personality and they both look even smaller than Daniel Bryan

Seriously, they could be having matches with Hornswoggle. They're supposed to be these bad asses like the APA, but whenever I see them I see midgets. It just doesn't work.

5 years from now they'll be on the indies or in TNA. Guaranteed.

American Alpha is the best team in WWE and that's not debatable.

With their great in-ring skills and psychology and ability to make their opponents look amazing in defeat makes The Revival the best tag team in the world to me. But, in terms of pure in-ring skills, I think American Alpha is the best team in WWE. However, American Alpha is so damn good that the team comes off as cocky assholes without a great heel team as a foil.

Also, I love that The Revival doesn’t beat teams with the typical cheating tactics, they use their intelligence and exploit their opponent’s tiniest mistake.

The Revival are one of the few tag teams that make tag matches watchable for me, also to the point where I actually enjoy and look forward to tag matches. They have easily put out some of the best matches on NXT, and they deserve all the credit and praise they get. I dont care where they end up Raw or Smackdown, I look forward to whatever they do next. For now I will enjoy them at NXT.

They're the best, full stop IMO. They're able to generate proper heel heat and have the fans 95% of the time want their opponents to win, but still able to have everyone satisfied win them winning the match, all the while getting their losing opponents even more over in the process. It's a truely rare talent.
