Which title run did you enjoy more?

I've been thinking long and hard lately about who had the better title reign in NXT between Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe.

Both got the monster heel rub and knocked it out of the park, was just wondering what the consensus is on what run was more enjoyable. I'm personally giving the slight edge to Owens, he was booked like an indestructible force, and I feel that era where Owens was champ put the brand on the map.

Neville for me. Kevin Owens had a great reign but he only had it for a few months, couldn't finish his feud with Sami Zayn and his other opponents for the title weren't that great.

Neville on the other side ? Great matches with great opponents, he had for a long long time and the final storyline he had with Sami Zayn was incredible, the perfect way to lose the title

Pretty much equal as I'm a big fan of both guys. But KO for me just had the edge. I love Joe's heel work, but I think he also makes a great babyface. KO is more authentic as a heel, in my humble opinion. Joe could turn a couple of times in his WWE career while it wouldn't surprise me if KO stayed heel for his entire WWE run.

Owens is such a natural heel, it's hard to imagine him being a face. Honestly it would be a terrible idea to even try to make him a face, not just because it would seem so unnatural with him but he's just so good as a heel you would be basically costing the brand one of the best heels trying to turn him.

KO's reign transcended NXT, going up to the main roster still champion to face and then defeat Cena elevated the entire brand so I'd say his was better.

Samoa Joe has been a damn good heel though since turning and more or less saved the feud with Balor in terms of playing his perfectly. You can tell that NXT energized him after slumping around in TNA.

I think there is more to come from Nakamura/Joe, they seem to have a more natural rivalry than the Balor/Joe one.

Owens was NXT champion when NXT was at it's peak, and the reign was cut short only because he was doing so well he got shot to the main roster. Meanwhile Joe was nothing more than a transitional champion from Finn to Nakamura. And while KO was the top star while in NXT, Joe was in the shadow of Finn, Nakamura, and Bayley, even as champion.
Not to take anything away from Joe. His NXT run has been his best work since he was ROH champion. But his last few months as NXT champ was mostly forgettable.

Owens bringing the title to Raw to beef with Cena elevated NXT in a way that hadn't been done before or since.

That said, Neville's reign was really strong. He made me hate him so that was good work on his part.

I wish they hadn't taken the title off of Joe yet. Nakamura is ok but I'd prefer him as a special attraction like how he would occasionally show up in ROH for a match.
