Bayley should beat Asuka at Brooklyn.

I think this for a few reasons. First, Asuka needs a loss. She has dominated NXT for nearly a year, and with the call ups, there is nobody who could realistically beat her with out a long build up.

Bayley is somebody who would make sense beating Asuka. It would be somewhat surprising seeing how she made her debut on the main roster (but apparently it was a one time deal), but at the same time it wouldn't be too surprising as in a "this chick has no business beating Asuka" way.

It shouldn't be a long reign this time, and I still think she should fully debut after Summerslam either way. But they could have her drop it to Asuka again at the next Takeover.

I think this would be important because with the loss, it would make Asukas matches going forward a little less predictable in the outcome. Right now, she should destroy everybody. With a loss, you would still expect dominance from her, but also know she can be beaten. It would make the women's title scene more interesting.

I agree, but I'd do it differently. Bayley announces that Takeover:BK will be her last NXT match, win or lose. If she wins, she'll vacate the title and a tournament will be held to crown the new winner - which is exactly what happens. It accomplishes a few things:

1) Graduates Bayley on a high of beating the most dominant woman in the WWE. It also establishes her as the NXT icon that everyone knows she is, being the first 2x Women's Champion.
2) Finally gets Asuka her first loss, which really shouldn't be coming from anyone other than Bayley or one of very few main roster females.
3) Creates intrigue following BK with the tournament. It was a big hit in the Dusty Classic as well as the #1C I believe that determined Owens' opponent back in the day(Balor? I think). A women's division tournament would be exciting, and a great way to help legitimize some of the underused(Billie Kay; Peyton Royce) and new(Athena) talents.

I'm all for it. Personally, I think Asuka should be graduating soon as well(she has nothing left to prove in NXT, and there are plenty of under the radar talents that can carry the division when she leaves), so getting the title off of her wouldn't be a bad thing. Either way, it should be a classic matchup.

Sorry, but I just don’t agree with that mindset. When you leave NXT, you should do it on your back. Bayley does not to be elevated any more than she already is. Last night is proof of that.

Everyone from Balor, Owens, Sasha, Zayn, etc. went out on their backs and did not suffer at all on the main roster for it (I mean we’ll see with Balor but no one is going to care that he lost to Nakamura). Put Asuka over even more, let Bayley have her final walk in Brooklyn, and then it’s up to NXT to rebuild the women’s division with girls like Billie, Royce, Liv, Ember, Nikki Storm, etc.

Absolutely not, to be honest. Bayley is already made. You can tell by the reaction she got at Battleground. You would waste Asuka's first loss to someone who does not necessarily need it. It is better to get Bayley up to the main roster as soon as you can because that character has a limited shelf-life as she gets older.

As for Asuka's first loss, it should be made to get someone over. One person who I believe it will be is Nikki Storm (Nicola Glencross). Once she debuts, she will be a huge hit with the NXT Universe and her beating Asuka would legitimize her.

I wish Emma could come back from injury and beat Asuka, she seems much more credible as a threat to Asuka with her veteran seasoning and her nasty, mean streak. Plus, you tell the story of an angry Emma who is sick and fucking tired of being the one woman who has never accomplished anything even though she was tearing it up in NXT before the Four Horsewomen were even a thing, and how she helped Paige get noticed. You have her mad that even Dana has left her behind. You have her come back angrier and edgier than ever. Have her doing post match, nasty beat downs on people where paramedics have to come out and have her do a few angry in ring promos. Make Regal be forced to pay attention to her as she starts even running him down on the mic

Then let her and Bayley feud over the title after Emma hands Asuka her first loss. Then, eventually Bayley gets the belt back and THEN you build to Bayley versus Asuka again

Emma would GREATLY benefit from beating Asuka

Yes. Agreed.

This undefeated streak sucks we saw two in a roll (Nia and Asuka). Bayley should stay away from MR until SummerSlam ends.

Bayley would defeat Asuka and then Stephanie came vacating the title and drafts Bayley to Raw. Shane confronts Stephanie and drafts Asuka to SmackDown. They would draft more 4/6 NXT wrestlers because was impressed by them.

Bayley would feud with Stephania for what she did while Sasha vs Charlotte rematches.

A tournament for the title on NXT with everyone having a chance without someone being drafted so strong. Charlotte, Sasha, Becky and Bayley never was undefeated and are the best thing from NXT.

Sasha would feud with Bayley in 2017 after an heel turn sayin' that used Bayley to defeat Charlotte. (After two months hyping their feud since Survivor Series with Sasha being a bitch for Bayley like Maryse & McCool during an elimination match).

I'm going with Crasp's option.

Bayley does not need to win the NXT Women's title again.

When she won that title the first time, she had her coming of age night at NXT: Brooklyn and needed to be the face of the women's division with Sasha/Charlotte/Becky all making the jump up.

A year later and with Asuka being the head of a totally new division that will build itself very soon I think Bayley has completed her time and contributed a huge amount. Have a great match at Brooklyn II and then she should take her place on the main roster. Battleground proved the main roster fans are ready for her and they want her to come up right now.

The interesting thing is which brand will she end up on?

... The interesting thing is which brand will she end up on?
It really is an interesting question too. By the numbers, Smackdown is in dire need of some instantly credible talent, but with Bayley on SD, Becky's role is significantly diminished.

Raw on the other hand doesn't strictly need significantly more taent, but there is certain;y a Bayley-shaped hole on that brand. Sasha's a face for the time being, but she's a tweener face if we're honest. And I think once Sasha wins the belt at SS, it opens the door for Bayley's road to her Women's title feud Vs Sasha.

Then hell, put Asuka on SD. all problems solved.

Oh, I'm going to get it for this one too...

I agree. Put Becky back down in NXT and have _HER_ do the transition work. The ladies down in NXT can learn from someone who's been there, including Wrestlemania, while she recharges her batteries, gets a new coat of paint, and has people forget she's a loser on the MR.

Basically, you do it as:
  • Shane offers Becky in a trade to Raw.
  • Stephanie refuses, saying she has no value.
  • Shane trades Becky to NXT for Bayley, straight up.

This accomplishes several important things:
  • What does Becky have to do going forward? Jobbing to Summer Rae on Main Event?
  • Bayley can be brought to main roster and installed as face ace of Smackdown.
  • It can forestall the big turn and match until Mania 33.
  • Night after Mania 33: Becky can return after Bayley wins the rematch, turn on her, boom -- next feud.
  • And one more thing a lot of people forgot about the brand extension kayfabe itself: One of the things the announcers made clear is that being traded off your show was a BAD THING. It was done that you were not performing to sufficient quality for your show and it was felt you could be replaced.

A better chance to elevate Bilie Kay in a series of TakeOver matches with Asuka culminating in her epic win after coming close on a number of occasions before much like Bayley's rise to the top. Bayley and Asuka are my favs and Bayley deserves to move up after TakeOver and Asuka should continue the streak longer to help put Billie on the map in NXT in a big way.

That would be completely moronic on all levels. Why would you ever do that? Bayley's time in NXT is done, she's in her final stretch, once this Brooklyn match is done, she's almost certainly being called up. But you want to give her the title again? What use would that have to keep her down there for another number of months with a title she already had her run with (and NXT is very much one-and-done with its singles titles, like ROH and its top title)?

Also, why does Asuka "need" a loss? Is there a time limit on how long someone can be dominant?

The only disagreement I would have on her being called up is the argument made as to why she was not drafted: NXT needs her more than she needs them -- tickets AND transitioning the next batch of ladies to be the women's division. That's not going to happen in a month or six weeks before the next round of callups.

That's why I think she COULD win the title again now.

Also, why does Asuka "need" a loss? Is there a time limit on how long someone can be dominant?
LOLCENAWINS.

I would agree... except Asuka is going to be there a while, so it would be good to give her something to chase (and that you can keep her away from) while they put it on other girls. Also keep in mind that Bayley allready put Asuka over when she lost the title in the first place. Basically, the OP is correct in that there is nobody you really want to go over Asuka anytime soon, so you get the belt off her so you can get away from basically Mike Tyson'ing the division.
The others have given the best argument against (go out on your back), you've given one of the best arguments for (if not her, if not Nia Jax, who???).

I would have Bayley win the title off her by somehow accidentally cheating. Its a bit like the fast count for Daniel Bryan where they stripped him the next day. She's such an over face that you could have Regal run her through the mud claiming she did it on purpose and it would only get her more over as she pleads that this wasn't the case.
Can you imagine that character? Oh, Hell, let's take it a few more yards then: Have Regal (or the main female heel for the upcoming tournament) GO THERE and bring Izzy into it and say "How could you do this to HER?"

Then have Regal strip her of the title and kick her out of NXT. Then go with a tournament culminating with a ladder match where Eva Marie wins it(because you know that's going to happen and its best if she didn't go over Asuka on a Pin Count Ever).
Depends on what you have in mind for Eva on the main roster -- including her simply getting annihilated until she decides to do porn instead!

Bayley then becomes an unrestricted free agent and one of the few people who can show up on either brand since she was never drafted. It would also explain why she didn't get drafted. It was expected she'd be on NXT, but then she got kicked out. It would then become a running joke for her character having been kicked out of NXT as the most over face lolz.
What you then do is you treat any Bayley appearance for a period of time as a surprise, as if it were a surprise legend or new wrestler.

Her haters would be like 'she meant to do it!'.. and her huggers would be just beside themselves in tears at any suggestion she did it on purpose.

Think.. 'Bayley Cheated!' 'No She Didn't! for duelling chants.
AND HER NAME IS JOAN CENA!!!

(Wah wah wah waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah....)

NXT is already rapidly transitioning from being a "developmental league" to a 3rd brand behind Raw and Smackdown. One of the things they'll need to help complete that transition is a multi-time champ.

If her NXT call-up isn't immediate I could see her in that role in NXT.
