His cockiness and showoff personality would work well as a heel. No he shouldn't turn I'm just saying he has the flamboyant persona to throw you off and the aggressive style to fuck a fan favorite up and gain them sympathy.
He was the leader of the CHAOS stable in New Japan. They were heels.
But when you have Nakamura and Okada together in a group, there's just too much swag and coolness to get booed. So the crowd turned them faces. Nakamura is a very magnetic personality. I don't think I could ever boo him. Even if he Boma Ye'd that Bayley fan Izzy.
He has been a heel before. It doesn't work out. He has too much positive charisma. He'd have to alter his gimmick to even try to make it work, which would be a terrible idea.
Nakamura was a heel who got cheered in NJPW.....Though they became pseudo-faces towards the end due to popularity.
I wish Nakamura would regress back to his pre-goofy gimmick. Where he wore black and came out very serious and just beat the shit out of people. He has an MMA background due to Inoki's MMA craze, and did well. Three wins, one loss. Not bad. Don't know why they don't mention that.
You do realize the reason he switched to King of Strong Style is because he had no personality as the stotic character. People were asking for the same thing with Bryan its like some fans crave generic.
This is NOT a rock comparison. Look at what happened with Hollywood rock, he got booed but became to awesome to boo. That's what you would get with nakamura. His personality is just to infectious. He would have to bury people backstage to be hated
