WWE just sent out a WWE App message about it, so I don't think this is one of those 'win at a live event then it changes back later' things. Maybe Finn is debuting soon on the main roster?!
He didnt win it at dallas for a couple of reasons.
1. To make Finn the longest reigning nxt champ ever.
2. To protect the "demon" character
3. To make house shows more exciting and unpredictable
This was a very smart booking decision. Plus there were two title changes at dallas and the debut of nakamura. Joe winning the belt wouldve been overshadowed anyways.
Really. Why? Forgive me it's nothing to do with the performers, or even the area he lost it at. It's just.. untelevised? It makes it seem like I missed something, I get that feeling a lot with RoH, and it sort of takes me OUT of the show, you know? Now I don't feel like I'm up to date.
I like that they did it at a live event, that proves that anything can happen at live events. People always complain and say live events are boring cos they're predictable, now something actually happens at one and people bitch. Typical :lol You never know, you could go to a show and a title change may happen!
It would have.. but I'd be lying if I said I wanted the Demon's undefeated streak to end, I think it's great Balor lost the belt without being the Demon.
It's over man it's finally over. The demon is dead long live the demon. At least now we have a credible heel champion and a new face can be built up and make the title matter again. Which is all I have wanted for the past 6 months.
Deaths and wrestling title changes are hardly comparable on the crazy scale dude. Geez.
Anyway, crappy decision to randomly change the title now instead of NXT Takeover. Oh, well. Good for Joe, make or break time for Balor.
