It was a great show. It was my daughters' first wrestling show and they were excited to see their favorites (Bayley and Asuka) win.
Manny Andrade won over a crowd who had no idea who he was with his double moonsault, wheelbarrel stunner, and rope tricks/teasing. That dude can perform - when he develops a character, he'll be someone people talk about. The crowd went from cheering for Tommaso Chiampa to cheering his opponent - like Rocky 4.
Bliss had some big botches in her match with Asuka - completely misjudging her backflip knees move and some other smaller offenses.
The Revival vs American Alpha was amazing. Loved that they finished with mirrored/double Ankle Locks. Hope it becomes their second finish/submission finisher. So fitting - given their similarities to Kurt. Esp. if he were to ever come up and manage them.
The main event had some good stuff. Balor and Joe hit their usual spots. Aries hit some nice suicide dives and a smooth 450. Balor hitting the Coup De Grace on top of Aries, who in the Cochina Clutch, was sweet. The 1916 and Joe cheating a win by throwing Balor out and taking the pin he was working for. You could tell they switched it from a 1-on-1 to a triple threat so Balor wouldn't have to take the pin. They were telegraphing it early in the match too.
I didn't know there was one until I saw this thread. I was at the Albany, NY one back in late Feb. and it was great.
My daughter has gotten into wrestling in the past couple months and she was drawn immediately to Asuka, when I showed her Takeoverallas (9 year old girl into Asuka over Bayley). So she's going with me and it'll be her first show.
Asuka performing will be a big deal for her. Frankly, I'm glad to go to see American Alpha/Revival+Nakamura. They didn't wrestle at the February/Albany show.
My daughter is irrationally afraid of being on the floor (what if they fight by where we're sitting?). So we got bleacher seats. The section around/above the entrance. Straight view to the ring. Also good for a short person to see.
