Bayley vs Carmella was awesome

Even though most of us knew Carmella had pretty much no chance of winning the title here, I thought this was a pretty good match, the best of Carmella's career for sure.

The two of them are such good friends in real life, and they have obvious chemistry in the ring.

I have been a big fan of both for a long time, and while Bayley has been beloved by the audience for a while, hopefully this showing by Carmella can start to earn her some more recognition.

I was worried about the match after seeing the Carmella/Emma match but they both delivered :clap

Bayley brings the best out of everyone, it has to be said.

Carmella is better than I thought she is. But saying this is good or great match was a bit too far. Seems like above average match at best.

The match was good. Made me warm a little to Carmella, she looked impressive, but I'm not a fan of her look. Too chavvy for me (it's a UK thing).

While it was refreshing to see a main event match end on a series of roll ups. I felt Bayley came away looking lucky, which shouldn't be the case with the champion.

They should have used it for an upset win that could then build a fued between friends, but I guess that won't happen now if Carmella is moving.

Saying that a match between Bayley and Asuka is getting me excited!!

Pretty good I have to say. Like most, I didn't expect to enjoy the match as much as I did. Carmella in 2-3 years will be a really strong in ring competitor if she continues to improve at the rate she's currently doing.

And anyone saying Bayley/Eva was better isn't relevant as its not a fair comparison. Eva's match was an overbooked mess that had an extremely rowdy crowd that were ready to lynch Eva if she actually got the win on Bayley. So yeah, it was more entertaining and epic in that sense, but as an actual wrestling match Bayley/Carmella blew it out of the water. Without the overbooking Eva/Bayley would have been dogshit of the highest order.

I think the build up was terrible. Yeah it was different to see the two fighters hugging and kissing (PG hugs and kisses), and be friends through whole thing.

I just find it fucking stupid, that a Massachusetts girl is running around claiming to be a Staten Island girl, and a tough New York bitch with a loud mouth, yet what we've seen on TV since London, is this sweet girl who loves Big Cass.

Obviously everyone at NXT all like each other to a certain extent and have comradery, but I just wish people like Carmella aren't 1 thing this month, then a new thing next month, then go back to 1 thing again. Yeah I get evolving and trying new stuff out, but come on, at least be who you are with in your setup. I mean Sasha has a solid character that fits her which only grew her original character and Becky's character is charming and cool and really took off. Even Bliss going from a blissful girl in a tutu, to some red tipped skeleton hand valet, she is still Alexa Bliss, just the "fiery red" version rather than "sweet blue". Staten Island Carmella facing Bayley with hugs and kisses is just whack.

Did anyone already post that the match was ok but Carmella in particular was shit? So I can just go like that comment.

Carmella was worse than Bliss, Jax and even fucking Eva Marie in their title matches.

Keep her as a valet to the NXT Age Outlaws if you absolutely must, but don't put the poor thing in a ring again.

Positive note however is that Bayley once again showed she can carry anyone to a decent match.

It was awesome. Carmella's getting better every week, and I love their friendship. Balor and Crews shook hands and hugged after their match, why couldn't Bayley and Carmella? I like face vs face matches because there's more scope to develop a story - do they stay friends, or do they throw each other under a bus?

I know people are so desperate to hate on any non-indie girl going, but give Carmella her props. Plus Bayley is a ring general so she was in good hands. I also liked the reference to Carmella's dad being a wrestler (albeit a 90s jobber but still) as well. I like Carmella's scrappy style, it's fitting with her character. And I liked how she was hesitating before doing not 1, but 2 suicide dives, showing how conflicted she was - matches are meant to tell a story and Bay-Mella told one heck of one. Not everyone has to hate each other all the time in wrestling.

And I liked the beatdown by Nia and Eva - they're definitely being pushed as the top heels of the NXT Women's Division now.

And as for Asuka....she terrified me! That slasher smile is bone-chilling.

Imo if Carmella was called up alongside Enzo & Cass she would end up being viewed as a Valet by MR fans and idt she would be involved in any wrestling much like whats happened to Summer Rae.
Her match with Bayley was more like a regular match than a Title match because there seemed to be a nervousness throughout the match and only started to settle into a decent competition when it reached the final third. Do want to see Carmella stay wrestling in NXT because she is improving and can become an entertaining wrestler.

carmella ever since she changed up her makeup looks a lot better facially. her two crossbody's through the ropes were good. that's it wrestling-wise. everything else was shit like usual from her. in fact, those two moves were the first 2 times she's ever done anything good in a wrestling ring. garbage match.

I'm finally catching up with NXT (haven't watched since NXT TakeOver: London) just got through this match and I gotta say I really enjoyed it. Carmella did a very good job, despite the fact you could see just how nervous she was. Bayley really did a fantastic job making this match look a lot better than it probably actually was. Carmella has come a long way though, props to both women, would watch again.
