Holy mother of hell, I am a BIG fan of bigger wrestlers, especially in the divas division.
Kharma for example had in ring talent, a great look, good mic skills, but most of all she looked menacing, from her intro music, all the way she moves in the ring.
Nia Jax tho is the complete opposite, She can barely work, her in ring attire is GOD awful, her theme is for a Face, she looks so damn slow, embarrassingly slow, and honestly, she looks identical to Tamina just bigger. I honestly can not tell the difference between both of them side by side if they were the same size.
If Nia Jax becomes anything in the WWE or NXT, she can thank the rock, because at her stage right now, she is a GIANT work in progress.
My view is fairly similar - I love a dominant heel in the divas division or a scary presence in size. Kharma is a perfect example and I think she's set the bar so high now it's impossible for someone to match what she brought. Not a fan of Nia Jax in the slightest.
Yeah, something just isn't clicking. I don't know what it is. I fucking LOVED Awesome Kong/Kharma back in the day, even got to meet her. Nia Jax on the other hand, I dunno, something isn't there. Maybe it's how she is all smiley and that god awful music.
Yeah it's not clicking, she's not believable in that role, she doesn't seem like a genuine wrecking machine like Kharma, she seems like all of the other divas, just bigger
She just debuted. What are you people smoking? She is fine where she is. Here is a video, tell me exactly what you neck beards think she is doing "wrong". Let's hear your wrestling ring psychology.
Well, her entrance music, constant smiling, and runway style walk toward the camera at the end of her entrance doesn't quite match the "I'm a damn Samoan monster" style of wrestling she uses.
It'd be like Tyler Breeze coming out to Rusev's music and instead of posing on the turnbuckle, spits out water like HHH. It just doesn't fit.
She shouldn't be showcased on NXT TV when she has just started wrestling a year ago. That would be like putting Josh, Sarah Lee or ZZ on NXT TV right now.
She shouldnt be anywhere near TV for at least a couple of years.
Kong trained in Japan against the hardest hitting women in pro wrestling. Nia trained in a performance centre, with other hapless untrained monkeys.
She could be good or she could stay green as grass, all I know right now is once the NXT crowd turn on her, she's probably take her bags and go. Seen it far too many times before.
OP said it themselves...she's a work in progress. She's not a finished product...but she's in NXT, she's learning, she's training. I dont know why this concept of improving seems to be beyond so many wrestling fans thesedays. You have to be taught how to do anything well, and thats what she is doing.
She could become great, the possibilities are endless.
I think you are missing the point. She shouldn't be on NXT TV yet since she is so inexperienced. I mean Patrick from TE is more experienced than her and he isn't even on NXT TV yet.
There are plenty of women in NXT not on TV that have more experience than Nia but Nia is on TV because she is the rocks cousin and she is big. If she was neither of those things she wouldnt even be on TV right now.
Putting her on NXT TV would be like putting ZZ on NXT TV right now.
Her theme is horrible, and the smile... No comments. In all her matches, her opponents shined more than her. Dana and Asuka looks more dominant than her.
She's terrible and this is exactly why I didn't want them to push her. You've got qualified PC individuals like Dana and you rush someone who should still be in the performance center :aries2? It's not even a case of "Ohh indy gawd please save us!" She's just not good. I can name several WWE products with equal experience more deserving of her push. For those saying "Give her time!", I'm sure more would be willing to do that if she weren't plunged into a title feud for no other reason besides being big and given mediocre squash matches.
And Lol @ these desperate Reigns comparisons. Let me know when Nia is having 4 star matches on every live special :frankielol.
Clearly a rookie but I'm not against her for that.
I just find her mix of theme, bad ass look and "How can I help you?" smiling very confusing. As a result I don't feel like I can cheer or boo her because its a completely mixed signal that is being put across from how she is portrayed and not in a good way.
Don't think she should be getting a title shot so soon either.
The booking for the NXT Women's title has nose dived in general to be honest since Respect. Looks like if Nia Jax gets a title shot as I suspect, that's three women in a row getting title shots for barely anything.
Dare I say it, its RAW style booking. I'm not against a title match happening because of a long feud sometimes but this many times is lazy.
Workrate over everything. Ringmaster >>>> Stone Cold. if you can't wrestle at least a 4* match you don't belong on developmental tv. Bring in more 40 year olds from TNA, fuck these failed football players and models.
Just strictly speaking between us, am I being unfair by comparing her to only her fellow PC peers who've been doing this for under 2 years? Lets pretend roles were reversed and Nia came in as an overrated indy darling. Would you allow her to get this kind of push without lighting your torch and grabbing your pitchfork? Be honest :HHH2
Because someone claimed Balor isn't ready for the main roster because of his mic skills and claimed he is bland. So I said Reigns is worse on the mic than Balor and is also bland but he supposed to be the next face of the company.
Its a legit comparison. If Reigns is on the main roster than Balor is easily ready for the main roster. And like I said Balor is already better than 75% of the main roster, so he is easily ready to be called up.
I mean look at people on the main roster like Bo Dallas, Fandango, Adam Rose, Curis Axel, Heath Slater, and even Neville who was called up not too long ago. Balor is better than all of them and they are all on the main roster.
Hell if you want to go main event goes, Balor is better than Sheamus, Barrett, Ziggler, or Ryback .
You really have to give her some time.. She recently debuted, it's not like they shoved her to the main roster already. She's learning in NXT, like all of them.. Give her 4 or 5 months, then your judgment will mean a lot more.
