Kinda expected that there would be some cuts with the influx of new talent. Word going around on a few sites is that Devin Taylor and the sparingly used Cal Bishop have both been let go.
Devin Taylor has been released from her WWE contract … and Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned the NXT interviewer wasn’t the only person they let go.
WWE confirmed to Pro Wrestling Sheet that Devin Taylor was informed of her release this morning — less than a day after last night’s NXT TV taping.
We’re told Cal Bishop — who had only made a few appearances on NXT TV — was also released from his contract Friday … however it’s unclear what the reason for their releases were.
No word on what either plans to do next — but we plan to follow up with both to find out.
Dana Brooke will have to find a new interviewer to pet.
Devin sucked ass as an interviewer but I saw a couple of her matches and she wasn't as bad as Eva, was she replaceable? Sure, but I hate to see anyone in development lose their job unless they just aren't improving after a sufficient amount of time.
Lol, no big deal. She served no purpose and I'm sure others can do a better job than her. Even Eva Marie. Didn't look like she would ever wrestle either.

Now fire Angelo Dawkins, Dasha Fuentes, Eva Marie, Greg Hamilton, Marcus Louis, Mojo Rawley, Rich Brennan, Sawyer Fulton, Sylvester Lefort and Zack Ryder.

I'm not surprise about Devin. She was signed in 2013 I believe along with Lana and Dana. One is on the main roster while the other is in Takeover matches. Seems like Devin was really slow in development and since NXT got new people, time to cut bait.
I've always thought Devin was absolutely terrible. She was lucky to make it this long. I've never heard a non-wrestler sound so dumb on the microphone, aside from Mike Adamle that is.
The collegiate wrestlers are very hit and miss but they are worth the risk, even if you can only get 1 Chad Gable out of the 10 you sign. Devin showed no range and didn't come across as likable.
I still wouldn't give up on Mojo Rawley. In those leaked classroom promos, he was very good and I want to see what he could do with a heel turn.
I was expecting more NXT cuts recently but when I thought about it, some of these aren't making great money so unless WWE wants to cut them simply for their own benefit, having them at the Performance Center is not really affecting WWE and the majority of them could still improve, so I don't really think WWE needs to cut many others.
A backstage interviewer is always strange when someone is bad at it but on screen - It seems like the type of job you'd give to someone you know would do a good job, and it seems that Devin wasn't doing that.
Devin was getting a second chin under her first chin as of late. She didn't particularly exude drive and growth. She was going nowhere, just wasn't getting there quickly. I wish her well on her future endeavours.
Pity that Devin will never get revenge on Dana for that EEEVILLE (say that in Mr. Burns' voice) head tapping. She was hot too, so yeah. But then again, perfectly replaceable so not a big deal. Now get rid of Eva Marie, and we'll be good (Y)
Cal Bishop was NCAA All-American wrestler Clayton Jack, he was one of the guys brought in by Gerry Brisco. Only appeared on TV a handful of times and was injured for a long time.
I've watched every episode of NXT and the only time i remember seeing Cal Bishop was in a backstage segment where Lefort was trying to recruit a new member for Les Legionnaires.
