Before you eat me alive, this is not a rip against Finn Balor and whatnot but quite honestly, I don't like this move especially if it's done as a finisher.
I think the Lifting inverted DDT looks more cool and more effective to finish off his opponent. I've seen may wrestlers do the diving double foot stomp and always looked awkward and never convinces me as a good finisher.
I agree. I love Finn Balor but I don't like his finisher; it just doesn't seem like it would end a match. I think that it would be suited for a signature move, but for his finisher, he should have a more impact move.

His execution of it is really bad. Like Low Ki's version looks legit, it looks badass, its a believable finisher. With Balor its too obvious he makes no real contact by flopping to his back before hes even hit them.
From what I've read Bill Demott would tell all wrestlers to come up with a finisher that they could do to Big Show, when he was there.
I think this explains why Finn had to use the stomp as his finisher instead of one of the Bloody Sunday variations, and he can't use the Prince's Throne (because Darren Young uses it).

WWE needs to prioritize their talent. No way should Darren Young be preventing Balor from using more of his arsenal. And I do agree about his foot stomp. It's a nice spot but lacks the impactfulness that a true finisher should embody.
I've seen on some videos where Finn used to kind of hook the leg on the lifting reverse ddt. I think it made it look a little more unique and impactful for some reason. But either way he does it, it should be his finish for sure.
Completely agree that it should be a signature move, leading into the finish.
It's one of those where other superstars use it as 'ordinary' move and it devalues the finish.
I can admit I don't like the finisher as well, the name fits with the finisher but it should be something that adds more of an impact and doesn't look weak after Balor executes it. Or give him a new finisher, and keep the Coup de Grace as a signature.

I think it can end matches sometimes. Like, he does the Bloody Sunday then the Coup de Grace to end a grueling match. Kinda like when Jeff Hardy would do the Twist of Fate and then do the Swanton Bomb.
I don't have that much of a problem with the move. People react to it, that's the most important thing.
Though I would like to see him establish a secondary finisher. That way he could win in different ways and he could use these two moves in combination with one another.
When I first found out about Bálor I couldn't wait to see his finish. Then I was a little disappointed over how basic it was. I would like to see him keep the finisher name, but ultimately swap out the 'stomp into matt just to be sure he ded'dddd' move for something a bit more classy yet still considered highflying.
Great as signature move, potenially a great secondary finisher move, but a rather weak move to have as main finisher.
In a perfect world he would have the Bloody Sunday again, and it's not like has not used it in WWE because he used it against Owens in Japan. So i don't see why he can't use it on a more regular basis.
Yeah when he was at that ladder match in Brooklyn, he did such bigger moves, that even that huge one, still wasn't like "Owens is Done", it was more like "Looks like Owens has had enough (cause this match has been going for a long time).
