Does anyone think, Crews should be pushed the same way Brock was in early 2002/2003? This man got everything, charisma, in-ring skills, athleticism and most importantly the LOOK. Even the theme kicks ass..
Stick with him a manager and push him like Brock. This guy can draw $$$.
He's not a bad prospect but I really wish we'd do away with the majority of major indy signings being delegated to being happy, smiley, flippy, "happy to be here" babyfaces with no real character. The only person who actually makes it work is Sami Zayn. I'll wait and see what he does but I'm not too excited about what I think he'll be doing since I've seen it all before with other people.
You know I'm against the idea of copying the character but it does fit Crews very well. He has the moveset, he's legitimately a bit like a superhero. Being a happy, smiling face is a very suitable thing for him, unlike Hideo Itami and Finn Balor.
Recalling his debut and entrance is immense. It's clear how overwhelmed he was. That moment of pure humbleness is unmatched by anyone in NXT. It'd be hard to not take him as the good guy face.
I want to be impressed with him since he's the Great Black Hope but aside from his athletic prowess is there any reason to be? If Neville is just a midcarder what makes you guys think black Neville will go any further?
His reported willingness to learn and better himself in promos and out-of-ring things (pretty sure you told me about this too btw) is an indication of why I like him already. The idea that the guy comes in and puts effort in to being the best, not just doing what he thinks he should do to get a paycheck, is great enough for me, to at least like him.
Then maybe they should let him do his complete finisher: Gorilla press drop to standing moonsault to standing shooting star press.
The Crews Combination

I like the name now. I knew they wouldn't stick with Uhaa, so the hybrid Apollo Creed, Terry Crews name works for me. He has some seriously great upside and I really hope he makes a big mark in NXT

I hope and think he'll do really well!!! I wish he could have kept Uhaa Nation tho not so sure I like his new name. But im sure it will grow on me! :nikki2
I'm patient enough to let him develop a connection with and impress the crowd. He's certainly physically gifted enough to get over huge, but we'll just have to wait and see.
His finisher would look alot better if he'd do the shooting star press after the moonsault like he done it in the indies, for some reason he isn't doing the shooting star press in NXT which is why the finisher looks kinda lame for a finisher.
Apollo Crews - another shitty name. Siriously. Even Mcguillisomething was better. Cant they be creative with names, no?
And yeah, Uhaa Nation is heluva wrestler. Got looks and moves. Pointless thread since it's no secret to any wrestling fan who watched him for around 2 years on indies.
To each their own but I think Apollo Crews is a fantastic name, especially since the guy looks just like Terry Crews and has the pomp and circumstance of Apollo Creed.
He also has the "Apollo Nation" tagline on his merchandise which sounds much better than "Uhaa Nation", so I don't see the need to complain for the sake of complaining?
Triple H should get rid of dead weight like Samoa Joe who's hogging up all the TV time but performing poorly. Guys like AC, who stand out like a Titan compared to the fatass Samoan munching machine Joe, needs to be given that spot.
Dude's good but let's not get carried away just yet. Brock was able to step in the ring with greats like Rock, Taker and Hogan and he didn't look out of place even though he'd only been on the roster for 6 months - 2 years. Now if Crews can step in the ring with Lesnar and not look out of place after 6 months then WWE should give him that push. But I doubt it.
I like him, but his theme is generic as hell.
I have to agree on his finisher, it's very impressive for a man that big, but it should only be a signature
From a pure look and physicality stand-point, Crews absolutely does look like a equal to Brock in the ring. Ofcourse he needs more credibility which is why WWE needs to push him to the top and fast.
I don't know anything about him really. He looks great, and I don't at hall have a hard time picturing him at the top of NXT. I'm not keen on his finisher, but I'm excited to watch how he progresses.
The issue is that it involves a really obvious roll over after he does the gorilla press slam. He needs a move where is opponent lands on their back to make it work.
The guy's good, no doubt about it, but I don't think he's ready for a push like the one they gave to Lesnar in 2002. They have to make good choices about his character, and something good will follow.
It's a total crap shoot with WWE's booking, so many guys with potential become "just another guy" on the main roster, the only guys they really seem to care anything about are Cena, Lesnar, Rollins and Reigns.
This guy is so freaking awesome. He has me in all sorts of :woo :woo :woo
