Nxt was so Great that it Feels Like it's in a Crappy Transition Period Now.

For months we were seeing Nxt put out better content than Raw every week and i mean more minutes of good content despite Raw being more than twice as long.

Now with all the squash matches and they seem to be going more for a tag team division instead of great divas action which i tuned in for.

Zayn is out with injury, Neville promoted, Owens will be gone for good after he loses to the inferior Balor in the title rematch, and it feels like Sasha Banks already is gone even though she's still the Nxt Divas champ.

What used to be must see tv is now becoming a shell of what it used to be. Seeing the Vaudvillians not beat up Alexa Bliss should have started a "WWE is S.A.W.F.T....Sawft!!!!" chant in the audience.

Friggin Lucha Underground has women wrestle men in matches and women in sports has never been more prominent. It's so old fashioned to have a bitch female just slap two guys and they don't do anything cuz they are the good guys.

Guess what? in real life a lot of guys nowadays would hit back and rightfully so cuz it would be called self defense in a court of law.

Is Triple H is really running this shit cuz Nxt was golden when had it all this amazing talent, but now it's feeling very much less than it should be and relying on old worn out staples of wrestling and society.

UFC Spoiler Alert!!! Don't Read if You Haven't Watched the Last PPV yet!! Rousey just knocked her opponent the fuck out like a dude. She was laying on the mat sideways head first after getting clobbered on the side of the head.

That's where women are at in sports today, yet we are seeing that same old tired 90's garbage in Nxt today even though the supposedly great Triple H is running it. Maybe he isn't much better than Vince after all.

Part of it is that Vince is in full on panic mode and pulling people up from NXT to try and maintain that hardcore audience that would "never" stop watching the main roster. He's ruing those words now.

I see nothing wrong with the setup that was for a long time the norm for NXT. Whatever equals less Finn Balor on the show is a plus in my book.

Anyway there is an airplane spin in Alexa's future don't worry.

Delusional and completely illogical as usual. Neville should have been called up way sooner, Owens is a full package unlike Balor so of course he'll be called up quick, Charlotte was stuck in limbo for ages before being called up. If those call ups are Vince in panic mode then when he is calm no one is getting out of NXT.

But no Vince is bringing up Indy darlings to... keep people who like the likes of Ryback and Ziggler more then the indy darlings? Certainly isn't to get guys like you watching.

Jordan and Gable put on great matches and Gable's actually pretty good on the mic. Last week's episode featured two awesome double team finishers between Team Angle 2.0 and the Mechanics. Between them, Blake+Murphy, and Enzo/Cass - the tag teams are better than they've been in a long time. It's actually competitive.

Dana Brooke isn't very good, but Emma is and she's getting featured. Bayley is likely the next Divas champion. Nevermind Alexa Bliss is finally coming into her own, Eva Marie looks to have gotten some decent training/progress, Carmella is picking up and getting good. KC and the other new chick will likely develop characters, trademark moves, etc... soon enough. The one from Lance Storm's school has got some cool kicks. Divas division IS NOT as good a it was, but Bayley, Emma, and Bliss can carry things very well as Dana, Carmella, and the rest fine tune themselves enough to be featured more (though Dana is getting the 'not good but pushed anyway' Roman treatment).

Main event scene is off, but that's the transition. Owens needs closure. Samoa Joe is a big name (poor matches recently, but him vs Rhyno should tear the house down at Takeover). Uhaas getting ready to debut. etc...

Likely future main event scene:

Balor (great worker, charismatic)
Samoa Joe (legacy guy)
Solomon Crowe (good indie hand)
Uhaa Nation (incredible talent yet to debut - big bodybuilder type AND a high flyer that could stand with Rollins and Neville)
Baron Corbon (Great promo at the tattoo shop, an anti-indie gimmick is perfect for a big guy that will have most matches be brawl -> finisher)
Prince Pretty / Tyler Breeze - a great worker and character guy. Going to put on a great show with Liger.
Hideo Itami - coming back soon!

Not as strong as Owens, Zayn, Balor, Itami, Neville, Breeze......but it's still pretty damn strong.

So because it doesn't have indy guys it sucks? What's wrong with developing new talents? That's what they are doing. The established guys weren't going to be there for more than a year. Let new people carry the show and let the new blood show off or ship off

NXT isn't as good as it once was due to a exodus of top talent but what people forget is that NXT is ultimately a developmental ground for the main roster so the cream of the talent there will move up eventually.

The problem at the moment is the transition phase with Owens, Charlotte, Sasha and Becky all in the process of moving to the main roster full-time, we are just waiting for their moves to complete so NXT can move forward with talent like Samoa Joe, Uhaa Nation, Baron Corbin and Dana Brooke, I expect Finn Balor and Sami Zayn to be on the main roster likely before the end of the year.

A tad dramatic, don't you think?

Plenty of good wrestlers left on NXT. It is great to see them featuring more prominently and, you know, developing. As there's have mentioned there are still a few big NXT names like Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Hideo Itami, and Bayley. However, there is also enough room for guys like Chad Gable, Blake & Murphy, Solomon Crowe, and Dana Brooke to develop, as well as introducing and establishing the regular influx new signings

I'd say NXT is still in a good place, OP

Why would they give away doing something physical involving alexa on a throwaway show..what happened to building towards something with an eventual payoff? lu is not meant to be taken seriously, it's more like a comic whereas last time I looked rousey wasn't fighting men. Nxt has since day one fashioned itself like the old territorial system, which is how it still function today, weekly TV using squash matches to introduce and build characters and then big blowoff on a special..reminds me of memphis

Honestly I enjoyed nxt this week, built a number of tag teams well and while dana shouldn't have lost that clean quickly to someone on her way out she still seems primed for a strong push for the 6 months post Brooklyn

No one is really going to deny that the quality of the show has dipped for the most part. I don't like seeing guys like Balor and Owens take up a majority of the entire screentime just by themselves but ultimately that time is actually dedicated to something that's continuing.

It's as if because I rightfully criticised the lack of care for the tag division they've went completely overboard and oversaturated the last few weeks with pointless tag team matches.

Sure, Enzo & Cass, the Vaudevillains and BAM are... "continuing", but only the first team have to prove themselves in the ring. The Vaudevillains have shown themselves to be average at least in both aspects and BAM haven't been given the time to shine out of the ring.

The show probably really just is in shambles because of the call-ups recently. Kinda sad that they are though. And it feels as if they're using the tag teams so much so that it's more obvious it's a 'transitional period' and so people who don't know any better would rather blame guys like Blake & Murphy or even the Vaudevillains as opposed to blaming shitty booking like whoever decides on having Samoa Joe in 4 minute matches every second week, or Balor not in any matches since winning the title, etc.

I feel NXT is doing just fine. Just because they did an episode foucusing on tag teams this week (Which was awesome) and not any singles matches about indy guys does not mean the format is gonna be changing for good or something. Samoa Joe and Rhino next week should be pretty sweet and of course with callups and the fact Sami and Hideo are injured they are kind of forced to do what they can right now but at least they are building the Tag division and women's divisions up more. I do wish Balor would be in action though wtf is that. The NXT title scene right now is the only thing not really interesting but that should change after TakeOver when they get a new oppoonent for Balor to feud with.

Also I do not think Triple H is bad at his job/"worse than Vince" just because he didn't let men beat up women in his storylines, thats pretty stupid to say.

I for one love when NXT gets in transition mode. We get to see midcard talent step up and take the place of the ones who got the call-up and new guys that wrestled on house shows take the place of the midcarders. I watched NXT since the first episode in the summer of 2012 featuring Michael McGillicutty vs. Tyson Kidd in the main event and loved it ever since.

I think people need to keep in mind that NXT is the developmental territory for WWE to prepare potential stars for WWE.
As impressive as their shows are NXT is FCW rebranded.
So people should not get too attached to seeing their favourites at NXT long term because certain talents in particular we all know are not going to be there too long.
All the recent NXT call ups to WWE were the right decision, Owens, Neville, Banks, Charlotte and Lynch are amazing talents that deserve to be showcasing that talent on the big stage and on tv.
Owens is 31 which is by no means old but it would be sad to waste him for years in developmental when he could be a star right now.
I fully expect Finn Balor to join them either by the end of the year or early next as he is 34 so they won't hold on him much longer.
Also keep in mind WWE are always on the look out for new signings so the indie stars you see today could very well be the NXT standard upcoming.
I could name several talents that so deserve that NXT contract and I think it is exciting to see who does get there.

People were saying this kind of stuff when Charlotte and Bayley seemed like the only prominent figures on the roster in the womens division...oh wait some heel ended up becoming a huge major heel on the show in Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch became a hidden gem at the last Takeover.

Keep watching, the people who were lower on the card will move up and start blowing you away with those same 20 minute golden gems at the next Takeover now that they have more time. ;)

NXT still is developmental en serves only one purpose: training guys/girls to add to the main roster. The first NXT-call ups where needed to add talent to the male main roster. Now the second big call up is to add needed depth to the womens division. So, it's kinda logical that NXT now has its focus on tag teams.

some of the NXT "PPVs" were honestly great but I find most of the weekly shows boring as hell. sometimes I wonder where the f^ck it's getting all it's buzz from. I do love a handful of the guys that went through the roster tho, namely Balor, Joe, Owens, Zayn and Neville was exciting to watch in the ring. there are others that I found pretty good but nothing overly impresses me about them

I understand where you're coming from, but at the end of the day, it's still developmental. That big influx of indy guys and their super pushes made you forget it. Now that they're on the main roster, you realize how neglected the rest of the roster has been because you never really saw them. Now you're offended because those people who needed the exposure are getting it because you were spoiled by Owens, Zayn, Neville, etc.

With that said, NXT IS in a transitional phase. This is the time where they need to be building stars like Corbin, Gable, and Jordan. In :fact, I think they need to put the Tag Titles on Jordan and Gable in Brooklyn if possible. The Divas Division is in a good spot right now with Dana, Emma, and Alexa being built as heels and Bayley finally ending her one year jobbing spree. I agree that the Vaudevillains should have at least spun Alexa around and let her dizzily fall out of the ring instead of getting bitched out, but hey, that's oversensitive Stephanie McMahon's dumb ass policy of not letting men physically harm women in any way.

I want to see what Dillinger's "Perfect 10" gimmick debut just to see what its all about.

Emma should take Kc Cassidy and Jessie McKay under her wing to form an all Aussie diva faction in NXT. I'd love to see that as long as they don't call them The Dingodivas or something dumb like that :lol

True. But the fact remains. No matter how many on this site want to argue otherwise...it is still a developmental show. There's bound to be some growing pains when the top NXT talent starts to move on.

IMO, clarity will come when Owens permanently enters the main roster with Zayn and Balor following him by 2016.

2016 should have Itami as a short lived champion after losing to Corbin then have Corbin bulldoze through everyone gaining super amounts of heat until Uhaa finally takes him down or maybe an Itami redemption storyline?

Tag team division just needs Gable/Jordan against Shane Haste and Micky Nichols for a very long time and we'll be good.

Divas division will be confusing to say the least...
