WWE Announces Plans for New NXT Reality TV Show and More Original Content, On Demand Updates
- WWE announced today with their earnings report that they will add around 180 hours of original content to the WWE Network. They also plan to expand the on demand library, which currently has more than 3,300 hours of content.
These new shows were also revealed:
* A reality show for NXT as the NXT Superstars try to make it to WWE's main roster
* A show called Table 3, which gives viewers a seat at the table with Superstars and Divas
* A studio show highlighting current events in the world of WWE and beyond
* New episodes of WWE 24, The WWE Live and Steve Austin's podcast
* On Demand additions include The RAW Attitude Era Part 2: Austin/McMahon, WCW Nitro: Accelerating The War and The 20th Anniversary of WCW Monday Nitro
If it's more documentary style, I think the NXT show will really work. If it's something like total divas, I would lost interest quickly. Unless Bayley has a big part in it. :lol
If it's more on the documentary side and less on the total divas side, it could be good. I hope they don't fabricate and exagerate things, but keep it real, as most "reality" shows are anything but.
As long as they don't use the show as "character development" like those Balor docs or develop angles out of stuff that happens on there like TD, I'm all in.
Though seeing Sasha and Bayley's dudes would kill me; I hate that Mikaze is featured so heavily on Up Up Down Down.
Although a cameo from Alexa Bliss' mom would be cool because she's a super milf.
The new programs seem interesting, in particular the NXT reality show and Table 3. My PVR is really getting a workout since subscribing to the WWE Network.
The ESPN special was good but if its anything like Total Divas or Tough Enough then I won't be watching. As mentioned, Those Legend Roundtables or TNA Spin Cycle shows were great and would add good content to the network.
