- WWE's website has a new interview with Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Bayley and NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks on how they're changing women's wrestling. The interview was done before the recent NXT live event in Philadelphia and refers to the women as the 'The Four Horsewomen' of NXT. Below are a few highlights:

Charlotte on main eventing with Sasha:

You know the phrase, “Be the hardest worker in the room”? That’s hard with the NXT women’s division, because I can honestly say every girl is the hardest worker in the room. This sounds corny, but if you think of destiny, we’re all here together. Triple H hired Sara Del Rey, and then all of us got hired together at the same time. Considering the chemistry and how much we all want this together and work well together, it’s perfect timing. I don’t know, I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

Bayley on Triple H believing in them:

To all four of us, right before we went out. And at the first show in Columbus, Ohio, that was our first NXT show outside Florida, and he had everyone together, all the Superstars and Divas. He said, “We’re gonna show everyone why NXT is so special.” And he said, “We’re gonna show everyone why we’re revolutionizing women’s wrestling.” And for him to say that in front of everybody in the meeting right before one of the biggest shows we’ve ever had is like, “Man, he believes in us.” Individually, he just shows so much interest in each person. Each woman.

Becky on Divas headlining pay-per-view:

Same. Nine years ago, I stopped wrestling because this wasn’t a possibility. There were never girls like Bayley or Sasha or Charlotte. It’s funny, because I was saying this the other day: I walked down the hallway in the Performance Center and there are all the pay-per-view posters all along the walls, right? And on all of them, every single one, there’s not one single female wrestler. Stephanie McMahon was on one of them, but you’ve got Randy Orton, you’ve got Sheamus, you’ve got Bray Wyatt, you’ve got everybody but you don’t have any women. And I know, I know, in five years when I walk down that hall I’m going to see Bayley; I’m going to see Sasha; I’m going to see Charlotte. Hopefully I’ll see myself, too, but I know I’m going to see them, and it’s not just because they’re good for girls. They’re just good. Just really good, and we’re just changing —

Sasha on feeling accomplished:

When I was in the indies, the guys would be like, “Ugh, a women’s match. I’m not gonna watch that.” And to come back here, at every single Live Event to have a guy come up to you and say, “That was amazing,” I feel so accomplished. That was always my goal, to have a guy come up to me and go, “That was frickin’ good. I have to follow that?” And I’m like, “Yeah, you do, dude.” It’s such a good feeling. And girls just keep doing it, you know?

I'm a huge fan of these girls but it's not really fair to give them credit for "changing wrestling". Paige, Emma and Summer Rae were doing this on NXT way before them without the same exposure, and there will be other girls doing it long after these four are reduced to being 'catty and unstable' on the main roster. It's just the nature of NXT. The "four horsewomen" thing is also corny as shit.

Plus they are not changing womens wrestling, they are just going back to how it used to be when he had talent like Lita, Trish, Ivory and all those women back in the day when the womens division was in its prime.

If you really want a good womens storyline for WWE call up those 4 and let them be the 4 horsewomen and destroy the diva's division.
That would be an amazing womens storyline .

Charlotte, I like for proving herself beyond just being the daughter of a great.

Bayley, for creating a character I believe has captured the hearts of your girls who watch NXT.

Becky Lynch, for taking that title match and making the most of it.

... and Sasha Banks for really improving by leaps and bounds, and creating a overall character/performer which sets the bar.

Sasha Banks is the only one who'll make it on the main roster out of these lot. Charlotee and Becky lack personality and charisma and Bayley's gimmick is corny as fuck and would get booed like new day. I really only see Alexa Bliss and Sasha making it, maybe Carmella if she can learn ow to work in the ring.

Sasha Banks is a contender for GOAT diva if she can prove it on the main roster. But like it was said earlier this dickriding culture NXT has is gonna be the ruin for most people getting called up on the main roster, its really never as good as people say and the weekly shows suck 80% of the time.

Sasha's got the highest ceiling of any female wrestler, she's only 23 and is already wise beyond her years, she understands how to play a character, and crucially, she can wrestle. And she's a babe too, but most of the women are. And i get the feeling Vince is gonna like who she's related to, in his eternal quest to be accepted in the mainstream.

Agreed. The other day, someone simply posted on Twitter to name your favorite Divas/Women. I easily selected only Paige as my favorite WWE Diva.

For NXT, I honestly could not choose one, for all the right reasons. I find all 4 (Charlotte, Sasha, Bayley & Becky) equally fantastic. The other women currently signed need further development to reach their level.

I'm also feeling more interest in Emma since her heel turn. I had a feeling her comedic character wouldn't find success on the main roster. We already know Emma can wrestle, given the great series of matches between her and Paige surrounding the first NXT Womens Championship.

The next "over" woman isn't officially signed to WWE/NXT. I would love to see Leva Bates signed to NXT and receive a proper name (i.e. not Bluepants.) In the ring, she is able to hang with the top 4 NXT women.

One blessing is when the Main roster finally has all 4 called up Paige & the handful who are carrying the Divas division will finally see some real competition.

WWE call up those 4 and let them be the 4 horsewomen and destroy the diva's division.
This would be a great storyline for calling up all 4 at once and also include Emma so she can finally showcase her wrestling instead of being wasted as a comedy act. Personally I think even with Sasha, Becky, Bayley and Charlotte called up NXT will see the recently signed talent of KC Cassidy & Jasmin Areebi blend in with Alexa Bliss, BluePants, Carmella and Dana Brooke to continue where they left off.

The problem is that once they go to the main roster they will be treated like a joke because that is how Vince and Kevin Dunn view women's wrestling. Jesus, the fact that WWE refers to them as "Divas" and NXT calls it Women's wrestling speaks fucking volumes about the differences in their attitude toward the female wrestlers. As long as out of touch idiots like Vince and Dunn are in charge, nothing is going to change. Ever. Their only hope is that those two clowns eventually retire and HHH takes over the main roster.

But are they really "changing women's wrestling" if women's wrestling A) Has never gone away, B) They're the only four prominently displayed on the NXT roster, and have really only had matches with each other, C) They won't be any more than bathroom fodder once they get to the main roster because Vince is a misogynistic asshat?

They've had some damn fucking great matches with each other, but it's just self contained between the four of them and NXT.

Man...I know WWE like to debut like 1 diva a year but is there any way possible we can just get all 4 to come up at the same time?

Just do an angle where HHH and Stephanie says that they want to revitalise the Women's division. Bring in a new WWE Women's championship belt, and say that Becky, Sasha, Bayley and Charlotte are the new breed or something like that and just showcase them regularly along with the current women like Paige, Emma, Natalya, Naomi, Tamina, Summer Rae and the Bella twins.

Just fire Cameron, eva marie and rosa mendes. They literally bring nothing to the table aside from Total Divas. And i'm sure Becky, Sasha, Bayley and Charlotte could appear on the show in place of them.

With the new recruits in NXT, along with Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Dana Brooke etc... it's not like the women's division in NXT would suffer.

Each passing week I start to think that this supposed women's wrestling revolution apparently lead by relatively new signees in these four is actually going to make the women's division matter on the main roster when they're all called up.

Paige isn't a good example because, though she was good, as was Emma and others, they didn't have a massive following behind them in mainstream media, they were still kinda "underground", but now Sasha, Charlotte, and to a lesser extent, Bayley and Becky (as well as Bliss, Carmella and now even Dana Brooke) have been given a major spotlight and the fanbase of NXT has grown substantially, if not exponentially, so there's a lot more focus on them "changing" the division.

I think Sasha's a much better representation of the supposed 'revolution' than any other female though, she's way more well-rounded than the rest, and I'd put her over every other woman in the ring right now.

My girlfriend has been watching wrestling since we were both kids (early thirties now). We've both been disappointed iwth the WWE Divas to the point we don't pay attention.

I had her watch Unstoppable last week and she was blown away by how good the Becky vs Banks match was.

I think we both like NXT better than WWE becuase there's less crap and more wrestling. It's just missing production value
