It's been a while since we've had one of these threads. The roster has changed a little since the last time this topic popped up, plus we've seen people improve and evolve. I figured it'd be fun to see where everyone stands now with their favorite NXT talents. For me it's;
Top 5:
- Kevin Owens
- Sami Zayn
- Adrian Neville
- Enzo Amore
- Kalisto Honorable mention: Alexa Bliss (or Emma if she's considered an NXT diva again )
Bottom 5:
- Mojo Rawley (is this guy actually still around?)
- Bull Dempsey
- CJ Parker
- Simon Gotch
- Aiden English Honorable mention: Carmella
Since there's so few NXT divas I only added them to my lists as honorable mentions. If you don't have 5 male wrestlers to fill out either of the lists you can always use the divas as filler. So WF, which NXT stars would you rank as your fave 5?
Top-5:
1. Sami Zayn
2. Kevin Owens
3. Finn Bálor
4. Adrian Neville
5. Hideo Itami HM: Solomon Crowe
I don't really have a "bottom 5", but I don't really care about Baron Corbin, at least. Him + the tag champs are 3 guys down in NXT that I don't care about.
Top 5 for me:
1. Alexa Bliss
2. Bayley
3. Enzo and Big Cass
4. Sasha Banks
5. Carmella (surprisingly she won me over recently)
Bottom 5 (?)
1. The tag team champs, don't even know their names lol
2. Baron Corbin
3. Bull Dempsey
Honorable mentions: Solomon Crowe, he just hasn't impressed me yet.
I'll skip the bottom five list. I will say I see no star potential in Baron Corbin at this time. I don't really see him having a terribly great look either.
1. Sami Zayn
2. Enzo Amore / Big Cass (they're definitely a package deal in my eyes)
3. Finn Balor
4. Bayley
5. Sasha Banks
Bottom 5
1. Mojo
2. Mojo
3. Mojo
4. Mojo
5. Mojo
Mojo Rawley is the only person I actively dislike. Blake & Murphey aren't really doing it for me at the moment, either. If this were pre-Vaudevillains, Aiden English would have been high on the Bottom 5 list.
Now, most of those I don't hate to be fair. In fact, Rawlins and Carmella or the only ones I don't really care for in any way. The other three have things to build on and some positives, it's just i don't like where they are at much. But, I will give them time.
Carmella just comes off as a poor woman's Sasha and I'll admit, I'm not a fan of the gimmick in the first place (Sasha lovers don't kill me, I appreciate her wrestling, but her gimmick actually gets me to boo her and I"m a heel mark! So, it works in one way at least!). And Rawlins... um, cheap Warrior knock off? Amphetamine addict.. wait, no that would be kinda interesting actually.... just, that gimmick sucks. Change it!
I can't wrap my head around this at all. As I can recall, you've called him both the best NXT in ring worker of 2014 and one of the better talkers in developmental. Why the hate?
1. Sami Zayn
2. Enzo Amore & Big Cass
3. Kevin Owens
4. Finn Bálor or Tyler Breeze
5. Sasha Banks
Bottom 5:
1. Bull Dempsey - I'm pretty meh at him actually, but the guy is kinda useless when you have a jobber squasher with a better look in Corbin.
2. Blake & Murphy - When did they turn heel? Or why did they started acting like jerks?
3. Hideo Itami - The guy is simply not doing anything for me. He's great on the ring and all that, but i sincerely don't care anything about his character at all.
4. Sin Cara - The guy seems to hate being out there whenever he's wrestling, he's just on cruise control at the moment.
5. Baron Corbin - The dude really needs another type of match to actually develop some type of in-ring skills and a mouthpiece since the guy is getting pretty boring at this point.
how can people hate mojo so much. dude worked his ass off to get where he is. and he's injured now ffs. show him some respect.
top 5:
1. mojo
2. baron corbin
3. blake and murphy
4. tyler breeze
5. cj parker
bottom 5:
the so called "nxt 5". i have never seen a more overrated/overhyped group in my life.
1. kevin owens- a fatass who is given the title in like a month after debuting.
2. finn balor- cringeworthy mic skills. ok inring.
3. sami zayn- vanilla midget
4. hideo itami- chinese vanilla midget
5. adrian neville- muscular vanilla midget.
I'm impressed of the Blake/Murphy dislike around here. I found them pretty entertaining and great in ring workers who can improve much more with time, but well, not everybody needs to like everyone.
Top:
1) Finn Bálor
2) Big Cass & Enzo Amore (Carmella).
3) Sami Zayn
4) Blake & Murphy
5) Kevin Owens
Three Womens:
1) Bayley
2) Sasha Banks
3) Becky Lynch
Bonus: Tensai is pretty entertaining as a comentator. Next spot would be Tyler Brezze. Sylvester Lefort is also pretty good, I don't understand why they use him as a jobber. Too much french maybe. :vince3
Bottom:
1) Tye Dillinger
2) Jason Jordan
3) Baron Corbin
4) Angelo Dawkins
5) Mojo Rawley
He's disappointing and it's as if he came in with less time to train than Itami who came in almost immediately, and he has been in developmental for like two years now. You'd expect him to be better than that after two weeks. Plus his PHYSIQUE...
:jay
You put him in your top 5 anyway, what's the difference? :evil
And Blake & Murphy are badly booked because of this shitty shows favouritism which seems to possibly have Crowe in it too. We'll wait and see.
I gave this a bit more thought. I failed to mention any women besides my favorite basic indy five. Well Becky is my favorite female followed by Alexa,Bayley and Sasha
I only had Mojo as a worst, but I could, if push came to shove, go with Jason Jordan, Cj parker and Dempsey. That's still pretty mild dislike as i dont get that worked up with animus towards any NXT wrestler. I save that "honor" for the WWE roster.
Top 5
1. Hideo Itami
2. Tyler Breeze
3. Kevin Owens
4. Sami Zayn
5. Adrian Neville
HM: Balor, Banks, Bayley, Kalisto
No bottom five for me.
