Seriously, really good backstage promo. Didn't botch, talked clearly. Everything she said had a point and she said it well. Is her voice a little thick? Yeah. But that's a small issue that I barely noticed.

It's things like this that makes me take her more seriously. Her being a wannabe rocker chick still isn't working for me and probably won't. To me, she needs to go away from that. It's been done a million times before, but I would rather see her as the "mean girl" just to fit with Banks.

I've seen she can work a match so that's not a problem. If she can continue to deliver solid promos like that, the only thing left for me is to find a character that I can connect with. She's beaten Bayley multiple times. Sasha has lost her chance. Whose to say Becky won't be the next challenger for te Women's Championship? I'm still not sold on her but that one backstage interivew really changed my opinion of her challenging for the belt to "no way" to a "possibly." Nothing earth shattering, but very solid.

It was an ok promo but the way she kept saying 'yeah?' threw me off a little. She clearly has some talent in the ring and has shown brief flashes of charisma but I absolutely hate everything about her presentation, her ring attire, her 'gimmick', I've tried to give her multiple chances and just ended up cringing and facepalming every single time.

Someone needs to tell her to just strip everything back, cut the contrived and forced bullshit, just go out there and wrestle. Right now she's trying way, way too hard to the point where it's uncomfortable even for the viewer.

Agreed. Once she takes out the "yeah" her promos will be fine. She's improved a lot since her first backstage segment with Sasha. Didn't know what the hell she said. This promo was very clear and concise.

My problems with her lie in presentation like you said. Annoying gimmick aside, she's being sold as a weak lackey and that's what I'm buying. The way they booked the match with Bayley was terrible because she got dominated by a happy go lucky babyface when Becky's supposed to be a menacing heel. She failed several times to attack the injured leg of Bayley when that would've been a great excuse for her getting worked over by the big bad heel Becky. She got next to no offense. Instead, she gets a fluke win off a terribly named finisher. Bayley came out of that match looking better despite tapping.

I knew :paige

I know Becky has some thing to work on but she is one of the best female wrestlers to come out of the UK, as soon as she finds her feet and a gimmick that works she'll be one of the top WWE divas i have no doubts. Just need to keep building her with Sasha get her confidence up and character established and her true talent will come out.

She's a heel right? why is she rocking into the ring?

I like Rebecca Knox, I really do, but when you're a heel you don't rock like rocker. You let your music play, walk slow, look at the crowd wave your arms out like Randy Orton and pose.

Not 3MB it.

The promo was definitely good tbh. I liked it. I also kinda liked the use of "yeah?" because it's more of a subtle play on being Irish than fucking riverdancing.

People complaining about her accent can get OUT though. Not everyone needs to sound like some cookie cutter American who thinks American's "don't have accents".

:eyeroll

Her entrance is the only problematic thing tbh. She taunts way too much and it's extremely face-esque.

I was quite impressed with Becky on yesterday's episode, hadn't seen much of her but the girl seems to be good in the ring and her mic skills are definitely passable (and presumably will only get better of course)

The NXT Divas make you turn your head in embarrassment, but let me guess the main roster divas are fine?

I'm really surprised that you think that was the best, even in that short period of time. Obviously Sasha is good, but Charlotte is a very solid promo and Bayley is great when she needs to be. They are all a million miles ahead of Becky at this point.

Becky should be a strong heel who has no problem cheating if it's needed..it worked for her wonders in the indies, the girl knows how to play a good heel and mock the crowd.. i can't wait till she gets more screen-time and more ring-time, the girl is part of arguably the greatest female technical wrestling match in north america history when she was just 19 YEARS OLD, she redefined what it meant to be a wrestling prodigy, at 18 she was one of the best in the world, to bad many injuries and concussions made her take a long hiatus..now she's back, and I have no doubt in a few months she'll be everyone's favorite

I thought she was pretty bad to be honest. Haven't seen anything compelling from her yet apart from her good looks. At least she has a character that portrays her as tough, which automatically makes her better than 50% of the female roster.

I wouldn't bother making a gimmick out of hating technical wrestling. Having wrestling ability is a big part of wrestling.

I enjoy guys like Bully Ray out of the ring, but they are sloppy and boring as hell in the ring unless they have a weapon in their hands (or a tag team partner who can work). Too many of those guys and wrestling would be a glorified trashcan fest, as many of Bully's TNA matches can testify.

The ideal wrestler is one who can both work a hell of a match and cut a hell of a promo. You need both, otherwise you will not be a complete entertainer.

Becky has potential because she's an experienced (if slightly rusty) ring veteran who is starting to improve on the mic. Her character work still needs some... work, but that's why she's in NXT.

^ Absolutely, but a good match is 95% psychology and drama as opposed to technical wrestling and 'moves' or spots, they just add to it. I'm really not interested in how well someone can perform fictional wrestling moves, so many people think that technical wrestling ability automatically equals good ring skill and it doesn't, at all, if you can't tell a story in the ring then you're fucking worthless, at least in my opinion.

I don't see pro wrestling techniques as amateur wrestling techniques or anything.

A good technical wrestler should have a grasp on telling a story, selling a move, getting the crowd involved. Otherwise he's just a guy doing worked wrist-locks. I guess it just depends on the definition of technical wrestling.
